398,500 - Ed Oscuro (or EAH) - 1-5 - P51 - MAME

There's my "less than 10 hours of play" score

Played this one a bit a while back...suddenly doing more decently than before in it.

be sure to save one bomb for the mid-boss that gives you a bomb because that part is ridiculously hard to do with P-51 fighter without a bomb even with the charge weapon used at least once.

second loop gets so intense so quick that I cannot adjust whatsoever. Fun game nonetheless, glad I picked it up again after only briefly trying it out in MAME before.

Something didn't look right with this video. I remember the bullets moving much faster at higher rank in S1945plus. Then again, I've never actually played through the 2nd loop. But even in the 1st loop I thought they started moving really quick at high rank.

Nah! the speed of the bullets are moving at the right video frame rate speed. strikers plus enemy red bullets have always been slow but the gaps are small which is what made the game difficult.

LGB - 349.500 - Stage 1-4 (Boss) - Bf-109

Nothing special. Just something I happened to bother to record. I bothered to play a couple credits, and found myself addicted for a split-second. Yahhoo.

I'll probably work on this and Sengoku Ace again at some point. I actually got pretty far in SA, considering I generally suck at Psikyo games. Yes, SA is easy, but it's a good stepping-stone for me.

Just got my PCB and tried some runs. The later bosses seem difficult.

Where and when do I have to position myself for the different midbosses/bosses?

I'd really appreciate scores in the format standard for this thread. Thanks!

Reached the loop! Final boss was pure luck. I had no bombs left and was just messing around with the unknown attacks.

You mean stage 1-7 I assume?

I always hang out at the bottom of the screen about 1/3 from the left side when approching the midboss bay and usually get the lower-left midboss. He is far and away the easiest of the midbosses. Same thing for the boss, staying near the bottom left usually results in the crescent-shaped ship or the scorpion. The right side tends to give the square ship which imo is a bastard.

Of course I mean 1-7, sorry for the confusion and thanks for the info.
Maybe Mills knows a bit more about this one...

Had 950k after 1-8 I think. I didn't destroy one boss and could've done a bit better here and there, 1mill after first loop is definitely possible.

Welcome to the 2nd loop Plasmo. The 1-7 positioning is the left quartile as stuminator says. You really don't want to trigger the right one :o .

Your scoring is good!

I was watching Mills play last night and the 2nd loop has routes but there's a lot of extra dodging necessary, plus an awareness of not shooting the waves of popcorn blue planes when you're near them.

regarding the midbosses, is this right: Stay on the left to get the alien+man, stay in the middle to get the statue thing, stay on the right to get the witch?
What about the boss positioning? Is it the same? (right, middle, left)? If yes, which is which.
Please help, it's quite annoying to get another boss each time.

yeah thats the right order. basically line up with the highscore digits, line up between 1  0 for witch mid boss/large delta wing final boss, between 1  000 for alien mid boss/large final boss, and between 1  000000 for stature mid boss/scorpion final boss
