2 stupid deaths on stage 5. Pissed me off for sure, especailly after I think I maxed out Jupiter!
(NOTE to Randorama - thanks for updating - don't forget to take my old score off!)

drboom introduced me to this at the Chicagoland Winter Carnival (in fact, the APH scores on his image the next post up are mine). Usually I don't give a fuck about manic games, but this one clicked. The proper mix of new and old school.

Nice score, Andi! Glad I go you into it. Hella good game. Got to show you how to rock the stage 4 trick on the tanks. :D

New Special Version high score for me:

So, uh, does anyone have a video that shows how to do the tank trick with Beltiana? Her lock on laser is too unpredictable. It just kills the wrong things and messes the whole thing up. Obviously there is something i don't understand.

Crappy score, but I need a reason to start playing this again:

I sort've figured out the tanks, half way. Now I just need to get consistent. I fucking love playing that second loop. You earn a bomb about every 30 seconds.

Drboom helped me figure out the tank part. Who would've thought that safe spot is right in front of the turret. Sheesh.

That's a little more respectable. My goal is loop 3 for now.

Just got this amazing game today (saturn), this was my best run out of the first few attempts at Special Version. My god, I love the arrange soundtrack so much! I had one really pathetic death due to un-pausing after I had a quick sneeze (damn ragweed allergies!)...

chempop - 5,901,890 - 8 - Beltiana

Special
LtC - 9,876,050 - 12 - Beltiana

Now... I should probably figure out how to score in this game.

Special
Chempop - 6,182,930, - 9 - Beltiana

Quick question, besides the "shield", bomb, and loops, and graphics (colors) is Special version different than original in any other ways? (I'm mainly wondering about patterns, damage, overall difficulty etc)

Good job getting to the third loop LtC, I just got to level Nine for the first time.
I still have no idea how to score either, just playing for survival right now.

Normal (MAME)
Aquas - 2,417,760 - Stage 5 - Beltiana

Been having fun with this one. I like the somewhat casual difficulty compared to some other Toaplan shmups. Just rockin' it in MAME with soundtrack in Foobar2K. The last boss fight is especially cool.

Started playing this today.

The scoreboard hasn't been updated since September… I guess I'll PM Rando and take it over if he doesn't want to maintain it anymore.

Sorry for the late updates...

Somehow I didn't receive any notifications for a while. Is everything ok?
Chomsky, Buckminster Fuller, Yunus and Glass would have played Battle Garegga, for sure.

Moozooh, would you like to take the board? On a second thought, I am fine to change hands.

Sure, give me a couple hours to format the new board, and I'll take it.
