PlasmaBlooD - 9,169,320 - 2-2 - Max Hit: 67 - Type C

My next best is 5.2 million. I was shocked when I saw this score pop up at the end.

Sorry, I don't know my max chain.

I've only played this a few times. Perhaps I'll make this one of my summer projects.

Bit of an oldie this score, from the first tournament.

Icarus - 14,523,780 - 2-3 - Type C - MAME (JPN)

Exited Stage5 with two lives to spare, and 11.2mil. Only needed one bomb in 2-1 (on the boss) and had a messy trip through stage 2-2, losing a life to suicide bullets, and the boss' rapid vulcan sweep. Ended the credit a few minutes away from the 2-3 boss.

Had screenshots but have misplaced them with the death of fw.net. I'll try to track them down again.

Speaking of, will your site make a comeback? I was quite fond of those mp3s. ^^

I'm not sure at the moment. If it does it won't be at featheredwings.net, but under my design portfolio domain. It might not even be the same as before, as I was considering lots of ideas, including converting it into/adding a public shmups strategy wiki.

Still deciding on options. ^_^

First time into 2-4. Too bad that the first loop was crap (9,7m after the last boss) and I chickened out on the last bee on stage 2-1.

Death

Been practicing first loop scoring some lately, on this run I 1-lifed to stage 5, where I messed the start up, and died twice more in the stage. Reached 11m on the first loop too.

Hi, :D

Foremost I have this question about the segasat version of DP. What difficulty setting is closest to the original PCB, normal ? I think it was mentioned in the old hiscore list, but not here. So at what level do you guys play? I been fiddeling with my copy but I can't really say for sure.

I also take my opportunity to post an old hi score of mine.

Much easier to get farther when I decided to quit bomb hoarding for the stage end bonuses.

Gotta work on Stage 5 now. I think I'd score better with Type C but I'm sticking with type A as feel I'd live longer with this ship on the 2nd loop.

Pretty big improvement over my previous best. Managed to get the stage 4 800k bonus for the first time ever on this run.

I may have missed talk of this, but what's the deal with the PSX default difficulty setting (easy) - is it the equivalent of the default PCB setting, or should I switch it to 'Normal'?

Note: My score would be embarrassing either way, just thought I'd ask.

Cheers
