Too bad for me x2, since my only PCE is a GT and it doesn't play CD-ROM gamez.

I just throw my PCE CDs in my computar and play wiv Magic Engine (ripping the ISO = win + gud)

No matter how good a game is, somebody will always hate it. No matter how bad a game is, somebody will always love it.

What can I say? The game uses lowercased "o"s for zeroes:

Gunhed Special Version (2min)
Ed Oscuro - 310,780

Having a lot of trouble locking down a run consistently...I'm sure I can beat 321K though, just need a bit of luck and some more time.

300K in Gunhed? Yikes! I never knew that was even possible. Maybe there's some scoring trick I don't know about. Double enemies or somesuch.

Alzadick Beginner Attack: LGB - 277.800 - Strike Form - [screenie]
Nexzr Score Attack: LGB - 417.480 - [screenie]
Recca Score Attack: LGB - 453.076 - [screenie]
Recca Time Attack: LGB - 4:37:52 - [screenie]
Soldier Blade 2 Minute: LGB - 548.500

Minor improvements. Could do better at Recca and Nexzr.
--------
Super Star Soldier 2 Minute: LGB - 340.900
SSS 2 Minute with Autofire: LGB - 466.000 - [screenie]

Take your pick, but I prefer autofire, as with it you can actually destroy things. Notice.

Well, ok, i'm not that good at shmups! Oh, sometime i'll post highscores of Star Soldier: Vanishing Earth, since I have it on Project64

*Look at my background image: a Virtua Racing magazine ad. Not very shmuppy, right?

And here's a highscore that my brother did (his score was better than mine):

M4R14NO, you know the game automatically fires when you hold the button down, right?

Also, you can change the ship's speed. Set it higher and just tap the stick.

Hmm...just have some patience, learn the stage, anticipate the enemy's arrival.

Yeah, I already knew the rapid-fire thing, but thanks for the tips. By the way, I didn't know that Hector '87 was released in the US as Starship Hector (I have it on the emulator NesterJ for PSP)

Bridget - Recca (score attack) - 435,361

My first time trying this game out.

Holy lunacy, Batman.

The NES should never be capable of that many sprites....

I'll be playing this alot, expect more score updates from me later. I'll give the other Caravan ones a try too.....

Ok, for Star Soldier R, 2-minute-mode:

Bridget - 915,900

I just got this earlier, figured I'd give it a whirl..... loving it already, heh.

Crazier than I thought it'd be.

And reading that page on Hudson's site about the scoring info deeeeefinitely helps. It'd be nice if the game explained all this stuff to you itself, but no......

Quick update:

Star Soldier R, 2-minute-mode:

Bridget - 923,900

Killing all of those flat things really quick, that take 8 bazillionty hits, isnt easy at all..... I think I can score higher if I can learn to take them all down quicker than I do.

Also, getting the bonus offa those 2 huge exploding orbs isnt easy either.
