This is a run from a few years ago that I had never bothered to submit to here or Restart Syndrome because I was so close to clearing the game then I never bothered to actually finish. I'll probably start practicing this again in a few months and try to actually finish this, though it'll take some time to actually relearn stuff.

The run itself was garbage, lol. However, I've come to realize that the best way to tell that you're improving at God Mode is not by what your highest score was on a good run but rather what your score was on a bad run, because that's what you'll be seeing 99% of the time

still don't need to update it since I'm in the same ranked spot... but lx1 bx3. lost a shitty life on s3 boss phase 1 (the 3rd pattern gets me 2/3 times). lost a dumb life at the end of s5, and lost a dumb life on the s5 boss. suicided another life to get a higher score bonus on the final boss since I used 2 bombs on my 3rd to last life leaving me with 1 stock life and the no-stock life. sometimes I can get lucky and no-miss no bomb the boss, but go figure it's usually when I have no lives or 1 stock life with a crap score.

about time I finally broke 500mil. now time for 600.

All updated. Badass score Pestro. Your video inspired me to take up God mode a bit, so thanks for that (i think ). Best credit so far was up to stage 4, just under a billion points. Definitely a very exhilarating mode. Stage 2 boss is bullshit though.

Good job to erppo as well. You've almost got Gus beat. Just a couple more points!

Broke 100k on the counter in stage 5 for about 15 seconds. That rank increase is absolutely terrifying. The score increase when canceling bullets into amber is incredible though. I looked up at my score to watch the millions digit shoot up and promptly died. Lol. Still relearning stage 5 and Larsa at this point. I should probably dig out the port and practice that for a while.

lol, glad to hear man! It was a messy run but at least the overall routes and strats were there. Yeah, I still bomb on the second pattern on the second form on the Stage 2 boss (I need to do something about that at some point...) and occasionally I die on the first pattern, although that mostly happens when I'm tired nowadays. Yeah, God Mode is really fun! I've made some improvements on Stage 2, 4 and 5 (most notably on Stage 4 and 5) since my last score submission but no new score unfortunately.

i pretty much have the counterstop clear routed already with some decent consistency, you just can't afford to make a single mistake anywhere
might as well keep playing at least until the clear which should be 3,8b+ at least, eventually i'll either get a stupidly good run or end up playing it so much i get really consistent and the clear shouldn't be too hard at that point
