Ugh, I'm pissed. I failed to reach my goal and this is the last chance I'll have to play before the time is up. I didn't even hit my personal best :/

Really annoyed that I botched a run after hitting 5mil in stage 4. I hit st6 a few times but made idiotic mistakes on Black Heart every time it counted. BH1 isn't even fucking hard wtf am I doing :(

Minor improvement, but still not getting the full potential out of the main scoring tricks. Also, I have a tendency to mysteriously drop the chain after the st3 boss... I must be missing medals just after the 1up ship is destroyed or something. Might not have time to play again this week, as its the Star Trek convention in the Bay Area this weekend.

Shoulda done better but lol I keep bombing the turret on the 1up trigger, also coulda done better against the flamingoes and the st2 boss bombing trick (decent points this time from that, though)

Thanks for the tip! I actually find him quite hard to control, though; trying a few slower ones out at the moment. There do seem to be a few people on this week's leaderboard who haven't actually posted a score, if I'm not mistaken, so maybe that's why you thought I was doing better than I am! :P

I just misread your score entry, happens all the time.

Gain doesn't seem too bad to me - he is fast enough to get at least a sweep through all the stuff at the beginning, while still powerful enough to pop most of it. Bornnam and others who are slow don't easily catch all the fragments and they don't help me with medal retrieval. Miyamoto is way too fast for my liking, definitely. Gain isn't much trouble to get through tricky patterns - not as good as the others in this regard but I need that speed the rest of the time.

I need to figure out a good position for the flamingo bombing.

I was thinking of trying to record a flamingo bombing with Golden Bat to give people an idea of how they should do it.
Need to jury rig my phone first though... :P

The ST is unfortunately nonspecific here.

For starters, are we looking to center a bomb (and does it matter whose it is - Gain's, in this case) on the keep, and repeatedly bomb that straight on to increase flamingoes and flamingo counts, or hit the keep offcenter with the bomb?

From my experience; if you use Golden Bat you should bomb the keep (it has it's own hitbox which is slightly to the right of the sprite. You'll see it where the flames connect) as soon as it is entirely below the "invincible line" (high score and stage info etc.).
Let the entire bomb hit the keep as close to the hitbox as possible, then bomb the bird clusters as soon as possible. Move around a bit to get the flames to hit as huge clusters as possible at a time.

Everything aside from that is just a matter of luck (if you get a lot of slow moving birds grouped together or the opposite for an example).

I usually gain about 1,6 mil from the birds using this method.

Had a bit more time to play. The improvement is from better flamingoes and keeping the medal chain st1-5. Choked on the st3 and st4 boss milks though, argh. If I had more time I'd definitely practice the st6 "medal breaking" beginning, too.

I have a metric fuckton of work to do, so I have had hardly any time to play. This will probably be my final score:

I've got to say that the more I play this game the more I like it. I still suck at RAIZING games, but I have a lot of fun playing them.

Son of a gun - had 2M by the beginning of stage 3, kept the 1UP trigger alive until it reached the target, but had no fragments to trigger it, and my 2 life stock got wiped out there as well. Made it a ways into the second form, but sheesh, that's tough. I guess it shows that I haven't gotten to the stage 3 boss very often. Also, would've had some good medaling from the beginning of Stage 3 but couldn't keep the medal chain going for shit. Love it when you rescue a medal chain only to catch a lower-value medal next. As fast as Gain is, he's not fast enough to catch up to many medals.

Did quite well with flamingoes but used two bombs on the Stage 2 boss (oops). All things considered - not bad for just a couple plays today.
