Can MAME record inps from savestates? All my runs started from one at the start of stage 1 so I didn't have to go through the pregame stuff. :<

I think the newest MAME's can but it's a bit iffy.
Anyway you can restart an inp by pressing Shift + F3 and going through the pregame stuff takes literally one second Bubba.
You should try recording some inps! It's fun to see your own play back and you can learn a lot from it too. It's of course also fun to share and show others your awesome playing.
