Re: Raiden III - PCB/PC/PS2
ben.shinobi - Again I'm struggling viewing the linked videos due to me being on a train's crappy internet connect. Are those videos ones of your Raiden III of which you've already posted up scores in this thread?
angina - I can't see that image at all. Also, is this your score? If not, do we have permission from the player to add it here? Sometimes players like to keep scores off the leaderboards until they've hit a milestone score that they're happy to submit. Also, I'm nervous about submitting scores in this way, in that if the player themselves is not involved in the submission, it's hard to establish the score's provenance (bear in mind I'm saying that having not seen the image. I good quality screenshot is obviously a massive help in terms of provenance!).
Of course, if a forum member's friend wants to submit a score through that forum member, that's fine. Plucking scores from the internet, however, is always a difficult one. I consider the high score boards on this forum to be a high score boards for the members of this forum and the extended 'family'. While I do like the idea of posting the WR above the number once place (where those scores are different ) I think if we start pulling in found scores from across the internet, we could find our boards in a right mess.
So, angina, could you re-upload that picture (and list the score as described in the first post of this thread - that always helps ), and confirm if it's yourself, a friend of yours, or something else?

Ha! I really might have to make my long-threatened return to Raiden III soon. Just need to get the Jamestwon Gauntlet/Legendary clear out the way (if I can!).

PC version, solo, Arcade difficulty.
Obiwanshinobi - 8,216,590 - 5
Not much of a progress, but I just got serious about Raiden III after a long break.

Updated!
Good stuff Obiwanshinobi! Topped my score. I'm finally playing this again, and just now making it to stage 5 for a few moments. Still catching up, and recently Resogun caused much distraction, but soon I should have a new score!

Is there a way to take screenshots of your high score screen on the Steam version? I figured I'd put my name up here since I'm no longer last place, but when I try taking a screenshot, I just get a picture of what my desktop looks like behind the game :\
EDIT: OK, got it. Looks like I have to enable steam overlay for the game and then let Steam do it. Annoying, but oh well.

Moving on up in the world (or at least on the leaderboard!)
Solo Arcade Difficulty
Obscura - 7,657,060 - 5
Fun fact: Every single high score that has initials other than "AAA" was a high score when I got it. It's been nothing but "high score or bust", heh.

Re: Raiden III - PCB/PC/PS2
Updated! So nice to see some activity here.
I've threatened before to return to this game (and focus on Solo play for once), but now I see it's a bit active, and as it's so nice to play while others are on it an spar a little, this time I really will. Tonight!

Christ, it took me enough time to move up some more spots. Finally got that no-miss of the first five stages that I know my route is capable of.
