Shitty early score, I see much improvement coming.

Not sure which version we should be playing - indeed, the difference is pretty small as far as I'm aware. For convenience (since it's the base rom), I suggest the US version.

Oh, and if you already posted a score on the Japanese version, that's okay, since the difference is small enough to let it slide, and it would be kinda unfair to outlaw scores because of my omission.

Both will do, honestly. The difficulty difference is pretty small (though palpable). So, just suit yourself, but US version or Japanese at difficulty 3 is preferred.

Scoreboard updated.

Small improvement, but I´ve got a USB pad now which should help to attain the 12th digit. Will switch to US version tomorrow.

MR_Soren - Let's Destroy STGT '10 - 158692030 - 9128 - 2 - Mosquito 2 - MAME

Interesting game. I heard a lot of talk about it when I first came to these forums, but I've never played it before tonight. I think I'm starting to get the hang of how it works. Very different than anything I've played before. Here are some screens.

Now I'm going to look at the scoreboard and see how bad this is.

I've had fun before, and this game isn't it...

Image

The Coop - Team Oldschoolers - 16,130,058,800 - 245,742 - 5 - Mosquito 2 - MAME

I honestly don't see my score going much higher. I get to the same point, with the same basic score, no matter how much better I seem to do with the fucking timed chaining, or how much I use that shotgun-like shot. I'm just not making any progress.

(mod edit - split from Mars Matrix strategy treatise and merged into the correct thread :))

Yowza, nice score, Khoa. What happens if there are multiple counter stop scores?

Highest EXP wins, there's no other way. Brilliant idea eh?
