Anyone got any tips for 1.1? I'm working on getting a billion, but keep falling just before the mark, I must be doing somthing wrong - is there any strategy I should be using for entering powerup mode? I've just been waiting until it's at 1000 before using it.

Yes, use it at 100 at the right places and fill it to 1000 immediately. Also boost it to 1000 at every boss and enter power up shortly before he dies. Check some replays.

Before yesterday my usual score was about half this. The visit to Casino inspired a bit obsessive playing - don't usually make it through both EX stages. All at Lv3.

Just hit 1billion myself then checked scoreboard and realized that the lowest score is 4billion
Not really sure I am much help but choosing rank 3 and powering up/collecting bullets seems to work.
Definitely agree with the tip on powering up before bosses go down, they sometimes unleash a silly amount of suicide bullets.

I've been totally engulfed in v1.1 which is way more entertaining than arcade/360 mode but no one around these parts want to compete with my last place score! Come on people just because you need +4Billion to really compete post them low scores anyway, please I'm dying all alone down here.

Might be time to try one of my preferred characters (Follett and Rosa) and see if I can improve.

This was my first 1.1 game where I actually hit 99,999. Then I took a fuck stupid hit on Jordan. Then I got to the Canyon boss without dying, which is fucking insane in my book. I could probably hit 5 bil or so if I no missed the first 6 and got through Canyon with at least 3 bars left.

yeah, I hit 88,000 or so before dying on Labyrincia (3-2). Kept losing it all through Canyon, which is really frustrating because all my bad runs I end up no-missing to the boss.
