Play with harder, not easier. Make a note in your post if you have done so.

For the Mega Drive version, you are free to turn autofire on and off or change the difficulty. For the PC-E version, you are free to change difficulty. Note that you have done so.

Not entirely sure if the Japanese MD version is harder than the US version, going to assume it is. For some reason, turning autofire ON in that version gives the enemies more resilience. Recommending that you do not use assisted autofire for that version.

I'd say autofire should be allowed....but I'm not lgb.
The Japanese rape the autofire whenever possible, so I have to figure it should be allowed on any shooter.

For the record, my old Twin Hawk score was done in the arcade without autofire, but I wouldn't care if people use autofire now.

My bad, was just reading the text where you mention autofire for MD & PC-E versions. Here are my scores:

I was first playing just Twin Hawk, because automatically thinking that Daisenpu would be harder because of the checkpoints. But it's actually easier, the enemies take alot more punishment in Twin Hawk. I got to the final boss in TH, but it simply refused to die..
