(A quick glance at MOSS's site calls it the Fighting Thunder MeII-Kai; just a minor name issue.)
Actually A_Civilian, where did you read that? Despite what I said in my reply to you above, this part of the arcade game's official site seems to say the main red ship is the Fighting Thunder ME 02! Does ME mean Mk?

Also - I found some pretty nice Raiden IV wallpapers on the same site.
MOSS has a different site for the XBOX360 version. (It just has a blog.)
Here's where I read for the old ship.
The link you put up is where I read the Me part from, and is the arcade version's site.

Ah yes - that's the downloadable ships stats...

Also, some score updates from me:

Here is my submission for Xbox mode that is painfully close to SFKhoa's recent new score! 60,000 points in it! Grrr! I'm down a place...

spadgy - 26,228,450 - 1-5 - Raiden MkIIß

Image

And I had another little dabble with arcade:

spadgy - 25,691,660 - 1-5 - Raiden MkIIß - Console

Image

And SFKhoa's new score is up. Well done mate...

CIV - 13,122,810 - 1-4 - Raiden MkII - Original - PCB

This score's STILL too low to even get on the top 10 for the place I play it at. It's getting there, though...

You're number three here though! And always nice to get a PCB score. So are you playing in a public arcade then? I wish there was a cab running this game in the UK...

Oh, and now I'm off on holiday to New York for a week, so no updates for a little while I'm afraid....

Updated! Nice work my rivals! I need to up my game. I've had a while away now though, except a jet lagged attempt on Saturday which was frankly embarrasing.

I've formatted things a bit too, so all the MK's and Mk's are now Mk's.

That's exciting isn't it?

Oh - and SFKhoa - how are you finding the new ship? Is it worth the investment?

The new ship is insanely slow, it's like playing Raiden III all over again.

Basically, the only good thing about the ship is that the vulcan is insanely strong, I swear, I got 5.0x a couple times on certain bosses with it.

However, the slow speed + the classic "delayed bomb" makes this not a worthwhile purchase in the end.

hehe sooner or later i would have joined this thread anyway.
want to wait with my 1st score till i play with an arcade stick and a +20 mill score.
but that would have take to long so i start with 17 mill.

Cool - so CRI - I'll get your score from the Xbox Live world leader boards and post it soon - unless you just want to post it up here so I can copy it across?

And thanks SFKhoa. I do tend to prefer slower ships, so I'm tempted - but the delayed bomb? That's a real pain...

And also, after some time down the arcade failing at Raiden II, on Friday I came home to 1CC Raiden IV's Arcade Mode. Very happy. Now to tackle bastard Xbox Mode again! I did, however, try to point blank to boss of 2-1 (as you do when you tackle his 1-1 form). That ended things quickly! My advice on playing the second loop based on my limited experience? Hang way back the first few times!

Anyway. Aracde Mode:

spadgy - 27,982,100 - 2-1 - Raiden MkIIß - Console

EDIT(S): Updated the Gamertags list. Corrected A_Civilian's name in the leaderboard. Added Guardians Knight's Arcade Mode score.

Nice one! You'll have the 1CC in no time.

Updated.

Oh, and I'll add a Arcade (Original) Double Play hi-score table soon, as we have a number of PCB players joining the ranks, and I'm always up for more people playing Double Play.

Plus, there's a new link to the strategy RQ in the first post of the page.

Whoop! Thanks gunm. That should mean a massively busy world leader board, and a few more submissions here - and perhaps a PAL release.

Ready yourselves people - we need to keep our game standard up!

I also tried Double Play...but there's no way (for a while) that I can control two sticks and button sets at once.

If you ant to get used to it, fold in half some thin card (like the card from the packaging of cigarette papers) and wedge it down the side of the shot button. It holds it in place. In the packaging of the Raiden III INH superplay DVD there's also picks of a map pin wedged in the button to keep it in place for Double Play.

And updated!

TVR - 15,280,700 - 1-4 - Raiden MkIIß - Console XBox360 Mode

Shit run, still far short of my best offline scores :x Got tagged at the beginning of Stage 4 and kept running into bad powerup combinations, lost every life between there and the section with the stone heads.

You can submit an offline score mate - I assume you could grab a picture of the offline table?

Anyway, I'll update you score after work... and well done!

Probably could, should be around 22m to 1-5, but I'd rather earn the world ranking :D Just frustrating coming back to this for the first time in months and feeling like I'm practically starting over

Arcade Mode score:

TVR - 18,825,230 - 1-4 Boss - Raiden MkIIß - Console Arcade Mode

102nd in the world \o/

Updated.

And cool - I understand the more satisfying tone a score on the real world leaderboard carries with it.

I've been distracted by Death Smiles of late, so I've been away. You're chasing my score though, so I might have to get back on it, rusty and all...

I've entered a high-score here on the forum just today. Is there an online board through Xbox Live then, as there is with Raiden IV?

Of course, you just have to play Score Attack Mode.
