This was my first time past stage 5. I thought stages 5-10 were the second loop since the difficulty ramps up quite a bit. Reached the final boss on my last life, thank God I had a big enough spread to hit the tanks on the sides and safely sit on the safespot.

By the way, sometimes the chopper won't land on the ship at the end of the level. What's the deal with that?
