Yay.

Normal:
Momijitsuki - 1,326,233,490 - Cb - Reimu & Yukari - 0.24%

Not a wonderful score by any means, but then again, if I was playing for score, I wouldn't be using the Border Team. :p

Got the game yesterday and tried Easy and Normal twice. Unlocked extra but my scores are still pitiful. Pulled over 1k million on Easy but not enough to enter the top 20 :P I absolutely failed the Last Spells.

I'm loving this one. First doujin game I tried a couple of years ago, and an eternal debt I had. Again, it's all bloodflowers' review fault but I guess it's also one of the best ways to get into the series.

Really though, it's no better than the Easy run by Youmu had I actually captured the fourth last spell, worse if I knew how to supergraze and live through it 100% of the time. I did let myself drop with a few lives, that would certainly amount for something.

God-awful run but at least it barely meets the standards of your months-old post. That's good enough for me right now, I can't really get into this game.

Damn, good job! I wish you'd tackle Hard and Lunatic, there's always a lack of competition there.

Well, I can't turn down a request made by you. I'm not touching the latter difficulty yet because it'll be an unwanted chore, and an active submitter on another English-speaking forum has a 3.7B score. Not that it isn't incentive to shoot for it, but this game isn't so pleasant to play through. I hope my tastes change.

Hard - Youmu & Yuyuko
Heartbeam - 3,142,357,270 - Cb - 0.223%

It could have been so much more with what few risks I was willing to take. Marisa was a ragefest and Kaguya's battle turned into I-don't-know-what-the-fuck. Of course, that's why we run things over and over. Only I don't want to put forth the effort for this. Anyway, this will have to do.

Originally picked Reimu & Yukari for the attempt so I'll be less stubborn about focusing. I don't remember why I changed my mind.

Normal - Marisa Solo

Wow, indeed. That's about 81% of the Normal Marisa solo WR, btw, which is damn good (way more than other Normal mode scores around here).

Well done! What next?

Proper stage four and five positioning and supergrazing Keine's midboss spell would be a start, as well as not turning the stage portion of six into a flop. I can't say I look forward to getting around to this stuff but it does no good to stick around this difficulty if I'm not going to learn something. Equally undesirable is playing Lunatic more frequently to improve on reading skills because I suffer from ridiculous stage four and six spell card failures, as well as Kaguya's score crushing 'if you suck' spells. Nerves...

Anyway, nothing different about this one, just a more lenient gauge as you would expect. A slew of stage one restarts due to timing issues until giving in then going for the whole run no matter what. Including the stage four and six failures, again. No new ideas, just a filler run for this shot type.

Heh, almost cracked that 3 billion. Btw, have you seen LET's recent Youmu & Yuyuko run on Normal? He used some very interesting milking spots there that might be of help to you. They should probably help YASU and HS参謀 get that 6 billion score as well.

I may try catching up to you in near future. As far as I can see, you basically die in the same spots as I do, except in my current record replays I didn't bother to optimize bullet canceling and such (besides, using Reimu = lots of dead familiars when you don't want it). My current goal is 2.8 billion, I'll see what I can do.

Didn't want to post on Easy until there was a breakthrough for stages four and five, but with the TH07 submission used as an excuse to send a public message this one may as well go up. And your standard, can't forget that.

Some interesting news for you all.

1. YASU has finally managed to break the 6 billion mark — his new Sakuya & Remilia score is a whopping 6.083 billion (replay, scr1, scr2)!
2. He announced that he'll keep improving this record! His current goal is 6.15–6.2B. In this replay, he lost over 120 million (30 million from wasted bombs, 30 from time loss, 60+ from failed spellcards) in stage 6 alone, which indicates that as much as 6.2B is practically feasible for a player of his level.

Seriously, this guy is amazing.
