Random as shit deaths. One stage three, post-midboss Nitori. Stage 5, midboss Sanae. Lastly, Kanako's Divine Husk "Divine Crop" (ugh God). I'm not happy with this at all, but since the score Gods apparently choose to make me vary my score by only about 10 million each time I play, I'll be done for now. My faith gathering improves each run yet I'll die more or something stupid like that, so my score just hovers. My latest run has me die five times, but still get 1.02 bil (compare with the run I'm posting now at three deaths). The worst part is, my deaths aren't on anything consistant. I'm pretty sure they're on something different every time I play. Can't wait 'til I've died on everything. At this point I'll roll with a stage two death if I can randomly not die for the rest of the game.

Anyways, posting so I can stop playing this damn game for now. It's just aggrivating. The danmaku is quite fun to dodge, but dying being so destructive to your score makes this the most restart-y of any Touhou game. Plus the last card on stage one walls the shit out of me 50% of the time (boohoo I suck at it), which is the most infuriating thing ever, considering I hate wasting my time milking her nons only to get dominated by her last card.

I think I'll try for 1.5b with Reimu B, but I may go for higher if I randomly switch to Reimu A (yay lazy scoring). I'd try for 1.75-2b, but the optimal faith spots in MoF seem more unforgiving than even UFO's grazing safespots, and I'm not sure if I want to devote the time to learn them. That, and I already know all the discovered spots in UFO, so I feel I get more out of playing it. I should probably just go back to inching my 1.7b!H/1.4b!L UFO score up. At least I don't feel as bad when I die randomly.

Also, since I don't post enough to comment regularly on Touhou scoring going-ons (though I follow it closer than I'd like to admit), I wanted to say:

Uhh, you're welcome! I'm genuinely surprised my analyses have proved to be helpful to anybody. I wish I could analyze other games to such extent, because, say, PCB and EoSD (surprisingly) are just too complex.

Just about time playing this one before Touhou 13 comes out. It's my first time playing this one, and I managed to make it through the game with luck. Major bummers in this one: Graze count is not displayed, Bomb is activated by collecting power-ups, and no Stage Clear bonus. Well, not that it matters in this one anyway.
