Thanks a lot for the link, I was looking for some replays of Miyamoto. Was wondering how many options the pros use and what not.

5,587,620 - Enhasa - Stage 6 - Golden Bat

I've been working on this for forever, finally beat Black Heart and have a non-embarrassing score. Not really feeling the 1cc though. :?

Much thanks to Randorama, the departed Icarus, et al for the ST. :)

What do you mean by "the departed Icarus"? D-:

Ha, not departed as in "dearly departed!" I guess "retired" would be a better word.

Score updated. Apologies, for some weird reason I wasn't receiving the updates.
Chomsky, Buckminster Fuller, Yunus and Glass would have played Battle Garegga, for sure.

Just started playing again and this time I seem to begin liking it.
I play on default settings (started w/red ball setup, but changed that yesterday) using Golden Bat.

First score was about 5m / stage 5 (died on black heart but fought against him for quite some time).

I will submit a score when I reached 6m! :)

Well, this is not a game that lets you make massive improvements in a short time. ;)

I just pushed my score from 6,124 (died at Black Heart) to 6,889 few hours ago ^^
I no-missed Stage 6 untill the huge lasers. I figure out that my suicide-technique is okay since I was able to beat "the wall" without a dying.
The flamingos didn't work out though. They are one frustrating pack of assholes... only 1,111,000 points after bombing the shit out of them! WTF? But not bad anyway as 1,6 is the regular - which means 7,4 at all is possible :D

So

BEWARE OF TEH AVE!

BTW: Can I edit the buttons? I hate to keep rebooting the game b/c I selected Wild Snail instead of Golden Bat -_-

Yeah, the flamingoes can really make or brake an entire run. Ideally, you need to get up to 1.8-2 mio pts from them so that you can suicide twice against Mad Ball and milk both turret rings. If you can pull it off you can get 8 mio pts by the end of stage 5, without pushing too hard.

So far I usually just suicide once at the start of stage 2, get less pts from the birds, but use the extra life to get the points from Mad Ball, since they're always assured.

You can map A, B and C to a single button, using the menu point "Douji Oshi".

I suicide now twice at Madball but not at the beginning of Stage 2 as I consider it a bit pointless at my level of skills. Its only to raise the medal counter faster, right?

Is there any way to squeeze more points out of the Stage 4 boss than I do? I always get only 200k >_<

Destroy all turrets and everything, so that the hatches open as soon as possible. Then milk these little sperm thingies for 5k each and you'll have an extra 100-200k in no time. :)

I wanted to post the first score when I hit 7m and here it is:

7,211,390 - AVE - Stage 6 - Golden Bat

Image

I was miraculously able to hold my medal chain untill I defeated the wall. Just after destroyed it, I lost my credit... too bad - I already made it up to the Stage 6 boss, but I admit that this time I was less concentrated from the moment on that I got my 7m extend.

I do suicide in stage 2 four times now. Its a raw strike against my principles, but I don't like principles too much anyway.

Lets give this game a try :D

I hope so :P
My dream is still a score with a caracter in the first place. USI has an A-score already at the first appearance of Black Heart, so it may not be impossible even if I don't 1CC it :)

Its getting tight for jpj :P

I just entered Stage 6 w/ 4,6m. Then died a couple of times and broke my medal chain, this is definitely not my evening -_-

Actually, it just occured to me, jpj is already off the Top 10. Rando forgot to update with Ayanami's Miyamoto score.

Hope you don't mind me updating so much, but I just beat Ayanami's score and entered the Top 10 by a hair's width. :)

Won't post another score until I move up another spot.
