Stage 1 score attack:

3,681,242,745,985,465,130 - stanski- Kart (RL)

Arcade mode

7,039,789,434,432,990 -stanski- Kart (RL) -Stage 6

I cannot for the life of me get as many volcanon's with the reflect barrier as with the Reflect laser. It is way way easier. I'm sure i'm losing points though, since none of you guys are using it.

Finally got that 1CC:

14,543,559,121,744,150-Stanski-Kart (RL)-all

This game is pretty easy to 1CC (i've only had the game for 4 days), but hard as hell to score well in (or so it seems to me).

Starting work on this one:

Arcade:
1,635,892,109,250,940 - Limi (RF) - 5

Stage 1 score attack:
1,256,492,760,278,952,800 - Limi (RF)

I need to dig up some videos on this one to get a better idea on how to score better (the only GW2 video I've ever seen is VTF-INO's 0 score play). Might also drop this for a bit because Generations is a bit easier...

I enjoy this game much more than Giga Wing and Mars Matrix.

Arcade
1,198,659,543,625,950 - Ayanami - Cherry (RF) - Stage 3

Don't forget your name! Also- I'm limiting the score attack chart to 5 apiece, but post them if you want.

You don't need videos (or a guide, really... and I've posted both). I think a video might spoil the game more than usual. It's very simple to figure out.

Yeah, I might actually avoid watching any unless I clear (ha) the game or hit a roadblock. In the last 24 hours I've learned a lot about triggering the Volcanons or whatever they're called with the RF...When I first got the game I went all RL and got used to the instant gratification. RF obviously requires a bit more patience and experimentation. And me being a retard, I immediately thought "OOOH GIGA WING REFLECT FORCE + POINT BLANK = SHIT TON O' MEDALS", which is obviously quite wrong.

Giga Wing = Point blank RF

Giga Wing 2 = STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM THE MEDALS

No change in ranking, but a much nicer score. Rob's going to hate me and my constant posting of scores.

No I won't 'cause I'll only update once every 5-7 days. Ha! Post however often you want.

Are the Giga Wing 1 ships allowed? Maybe it is just me, but the game seemed to spit out a little more bullets at me on some stages than with the GW2 cast.

If so, I think I am going to start using Ruby's ship. Her speed and power is helping me out a little bit.

My Raijin Kai score's on the table, so I don't see why not.

I will even allow Stranger. That's the only ship I know for sure can destroy both pods on stage 5. That's 10 quadrillion points right there. I find the ship speed awkward and don't like the stage order or I'd do it myself.

Finally was able to get passed stage 4. That boss is killer though. That high speed spread towards the end is just madness, even with the faster ship I have a hard time getting through it. Had to use up all my bombs.

Also need to learn how to activate more volcanons in stages 3 and 4.

Obvious tip but focus on mastering the stages from the first onwards. I'm willing to bet you could get 20 quadrillion points with an all clear by having a great stage one, ignoring volcanon collection for the rest of the game.

Stage 4 is a real pain since there are a lot more bullets but you really have to coax the volcanon reactions out.

This one's for Rob:-

I was trawling Twin Galaxies and their WORLD RECORDS  and just came across the following thread: http://www.twingalaxies.com/forums/view ... 50&start=0
I guess its the usual cloud-cuckoo land over there  .

Rob - Can you nip over there and set them straight on Giga Wing 2? (If you care that is?).

Just for checking purposes I've copy/pasted their scores -
Rob's Giga Wing 2 score is:
63,437,402,790,174,400 - Rob - Kart (RF) - ALL
JC Padilla has:
9,690,239,483,213,280

and some fool called Rodrigo_Lopes (Metroid) claims:
2,748,212,834,351,936,640 without proof pic.
Surely the guy went digit-crazy.

The AIVA Arcadia Jap WR listings site is down (due to Gemant being recently kicked out of the Italian Team), so I can't post the real Japanese WR. Which is a shame beacuse that's the one to quote over at Twin Galaxies for a proper headz up.
EDIT:- From memory its another EXCHANGER score

Yeah, that's the real reason why Rotten Tomatoes gave 'The King of Kong' doc 96%. Its not anything to do with the game challenge, the entertainment was from the freakazoids on the doc.

Apologies for Off Topic.

Back on topic: Twin Galaxies are claiming JC Padilla's score as the highest score ever recorded on any videogame.
His score would rank him 9th here and at least 90th in Japan  .

Off Topic:- Freddie, TWITCH opened up an off topic thread on it a couple of days ago. Its actually been around for months. Well worth checking out Billy Mitchell, his EGO and other strange characters.

Back on topic:- World Record isn't EXCHANGER, its Enabler-T.S – Limi - 90.052.006.999.371.580
(Thanks to Plasmo for that).

Player Stock - although default is '3', we have determined that allowing a player a full
starting compliment of nine (9) ships is to be the official TG settings for this title

Force Bomb STock - although default is '2', we have determined that allowing a player a full
starting compliment of five (5) force bombs is to be the official TG settings for this title.

official TG settings for this title
 I missed that bit.
So forget the official defaults, just give yourself 9 lives and 5 bombs and call it a World Record :D .

That board reminds me of shmups and TNL pre- superplay trading. Amazing how it's remained that way into 2008. I'm going to post my score when they activate the account.

Ah at the beginning I didn´t expect the game to have such a great replay value. Just getting through the arcade mode is far too easy because of the continue system... but playing for score and try to get better is very addictive :P
Makes it a really awesome shooter.
Thanks @ Rob for the great stratety guide!

So here are some new scores... could also improve in arcade mode after practicing the first 4 stages a lot.

Arcade Mode
5,862,553,105,318,000 - Battletoad - Chery (RF) - Stage 6

Stage 1
2,329,125,780,552,014,180 - Battletoad - Romi (RF)

Stage 2 (couldn´t let it go yet, but this one should be enough for now)
3,435,919,344,528,127,090 - Battletoad - Chery (RF)

Stage 3
3,047,798,617,206,300,120 - Battletoad - Chery (RF)

Stage 4
4,183,055,461,757,816,280 - Battletoad - Chery (RF)

On Stage 4 I finally I had a no miss run, was a bit lucky
