I don't even know what the level skip cheat IS, but I kept accidentally doing it on the first stage while randomly hitting buttons trying to make the stage start faster, only to have to reset the damn ROM. It was a conscious effort to only spam the fire button, which would NOT activate the cheat =)

That goes for the whole board, it seems. Pretty low turnout this week. Burnout? Waning interest?

I found it very hard to keep playing this game, towards the end I just gave up. I probably could have broke 10 million but just could not get my self to keep playing. Sorry guys, probably needed a better score from me. Looks like you took this one with a gusto Davey.

A play off of my "back to the future" comment earlier, when the board clocks were messed up, and several posts got forwarded 24 hours (which left a number of us posting on Friday, while those posts were listed as Saturday).

It's a true "you had to be there" moment.

Nice quote fix by the way ;)

Meh, I'm not worried about the team score. It's highly unlikely we'll move more than one or two slots in either direction at this point.

I didn't put forth any more effort than usual this week, if anything it was slightly less. I think overall effort was way down for most people this week, though, so my usual effort looked better by comparison. I wasn't a huge fan of the game but I thought it was okay, which seems to be a higher opinion than most people have. I was sick of the game by Saturday night, but I forced myself to play until I got to the 2nd loop. The first time I did it, I only had like 10M because I screwed up some bonuses. That 15.8M was my next run after that, and I was happy to call it a day.

I must not have been paying attention, I didn't notice the number of players was going down every week. It'll be interesting to see if a Cave game can reverse the trend. I'm glad we're almost done, though.

Ironic that this is the only week I've had a qualifying team score (well, I only played one other week) yet felt dirty and cheap after playing this game.

STGT07 Debacles:
Week 1: Two nearly identical games make it into the polls... and of course, neither win. As a result, we play a shit game.
Week 2: VP1...'nuff said
Week 3: The same game is entered twice... I still don't get this even though it's been explained
Week 4: Special ain't special enough w/o the special hack

What disaster awaits us next week? I can already feel it. We're playing a Psikyo game.

I doubt DDP will get voted. People will be too paranoid that too many players already have long experience with the game.

Yeah you guys really dropped the ball letting me get into the top 20 :P I thought stage 7 was tough, but not 8, and once the 1st loop is over you get to go through all the same easy stuff and stock up on 1ups again. The only difference I noticed in the 2nd loop is faster bullets.

Maybe I missed something, but isn't DDP banned from the short list due to its popularity? I thought that was the case last year. Pretty Famous But Not Too Famous Manic Week?

Progear wasn't in the 2nd place week shortlist because they wanted a cave game (presumably DDP) in famous manic week

Omega Fighter and "Omega Fighter Special with Special Mode" are different and not comparable score-wise.
