Scores updated and be careful what you call yourself.

I say it before and I say it again. Post a score, any mode, and it will get up there! *DeSangre wrote:EXTREME

I meant to reply to this but I didn't, sorry.rmg wrote:Thanks man, but it was definately in the 80's as 81 is the highest level I can start from (I always play from scratch). I'm fairly sure if you break 90 (91? Possibly the first level after 10 acts as the trigger for the resume point) you could continue from there.
Yeah, sorry about that rmg, I should have believed you. My calculation was off. If you say you can start from level 80, then that means the longest play could have been up to level 89 dying on the boss's last gasp. Which means 90 levels (89 - 0 + 1) times 1.8 million, and therefore ... 16.2 mil or more. My 1.8 million per 10 level is just a guesstimate, and probably a little low for an average, based on my own (limited) experience.
In other words, OMG you rock!

That's cool with me, but could you please "order" the tables by difficulty?piyo wrote: I say it before and I say it again. Post a score, any mode, and it will get up there! *

Practice-Extreme-Hard doesn't sound right (sorry for nitpicking)
Scores updated Happy February 20!
First off, sorry gs68 for not posting your score in the table earlier.
And yeah, DeSangre, the order of the tables is fixed. It was humor.
Does anyone else feel that way too?

I know what you mean, but I "daydream" even in Extreme. For some reason, I am just reacting to the game and start thinking about random stuff, like what I should be doing when not playing the game, what to buy when I get to the store, etc. I feel like I'm multitasking somewhat. I like Parsec47 like that.G-zeiger wrote:Practice mode demands concentration; the slower pace and fewer bullets make it very easy to think about something else for minutes at a time.

OMG he continued! I'm going to delete the score now. (fumes)gs68 wrote:How did you get a score that is not a multiple of 10?angrycoder wrote:I hereby declare myself king of the noobs.

By the way, I think my roll - Hard score is 3,459,930, not 2,847,210... I suck enough as it is , losing one million points is tough on the ego
All joking aside, the table is getting along pretty well. There are such few Parsec 47 scores on the internet, it is nice to see competition. I hate playing a scoring game without knowing scoring "standards"; I like to know to what extent I suck.

My newest lock score:
14 337 390 - piyo - extreme 76 - Sega Saturn style USB controller PC
Options: --reverse --nosound
All while listening to some crappy "opera" music?

As long as you're having fun, that's all that matters. Although you could try other games to "stretch" your shmup experience. Maybe it could change your perspective? For example, there's that "new" free PC shmup game nomltest which is (only remotely) similar to Parsec47. I give it a thumbs up.Andi wrote:Sadly, I've been playing this pretty regularly for about half a year. It seems like I should be lots better by now.

Here are my high scores thus far. I use a keyboard, and play with the default settings.
Normal- Roll- 6 193 750
Normal- Lock- 4 893 970
I'm unsure of exact parsec numbers. I'd guess around I made it to parsec 40 for the roll score, and around parsec 30 for the lock score.
Hopefully I'll have some decent "hard" scores to post in the near future.
