1992 Irem shooter reminiscent of Cotton, but better. If there are any significant differences between MR and the Japanese version, please note them.

Re: Mystic Riders/Gun Hohki
I got some update for this one. How about making way for the more than two loops because I already tried the game and it has a second loop after completing the 6th stage.

Re: Mystic Riders/Gun Hohki
I discovered that if you get 500 or more gems in each stage, you get a 60,000 point bonus instead of 20,000. Nice risk-reward scenario given that gems both power you up and give you lives, but you have to be willing to run the hazard of getting crushed, trapped or point-blanked to get them (there's the uber-useful invincible spin attack anyway).
We should have a strategy thread for this thing but horis don't get much love. Got around 267k+ recently on stage 4, normal difficulty (those archer-mermaids are wicked). I wonder how Rob got the 378,600 score.
EDIT: Nm, I think I know: getting 60k bonuses for stages 2 and 3 will bump you up to somewhere near that amount.
EDIT 2: Wow, I just discovered you can "cast" spells to create constellations that produce gems by using quick joystick combos. Makes getting that elusive 60k end-of-level bonus easier.
Seems to me right now that each death also halves your total gem amount, and if you go below 350 you'll start powering down*. Doesn't seem to have an effect on the end-of-level bonus though; I once died on stage 1 carelessly and still got the 60k EOL bonus thanks to the gem spellcasting trick. Hitting 1000 gems on your count nets you a 1up, making survival all that much more crucial; dunno when you'll snag the next extend after the first one though. I'm loving this game already.
My new score: S20-TBL - 280,700 - 4
*(Level 2 is at 50 gems, Level 3 is at 150 and MAX Level is at 350; each level up resets your count to zero, but the game still records the total amount of gems received at the end of each stage)

Criminally underrated game. (Ignore the stage number in the first pic; the ranking screen will always display 6 if you reach the second loop.)
