Yep, that's an error on all the discs, it seems :/. Sad, cause it's probably one of my favorite tracks in the game.

I had to manually correct that in Audacity so it would loop twice and have some sort of fadeout.

I haven't really listened to my copy yet, but I'm still kind of curious if it affects discs from both regions.

I just checked, the OST bundled with my JP Raiden IV doesn't have that issue, for what it's worth.

Akira Sato is legend!! That has to be one of his best compositions. US OST is defintely nerfed.

I just got this today and I wonder if the extra ships are worth it and also how they differ from the basic ship? I surely have some extra Live! points to use, but I'm curious how the different ships work?

The other space ship (not fairy) I believe is a tiny bit stronger in general but suffers from a slower speed and a bomb that doesn't clear the screen immediately but does more damage and stays active longer. The Fairy is just for fun, she has bubbles and ... stuff.

Has anyone played this on PC yet? If you don't know what I'm talking about, please look at the links below. When I looked through the music files in the game, I found Dawn of Sorrow from Stage 3 of Raiden III. I'm wondering if maybe there was supposed to be another level, or if it's just unused sound.

Holy shit, I just realized I own this for Xbox 360 (Both JP/US regions), PS3, Steam and GOG.

That new soundtrack sounds pretty cool.

It's also important to note that this will be the first we've seen of Raiden IV Overkill in an official physical release, so that's pretty cool.

Arcade Heroes posted an announcement that Raiden IV + Mikado Mix is having a crowdfunding campaign through campfire, in Japanese of course, to get funding for an arcade version.

Hopefully when funded through Japanese arcade fans, it would deliver more than additional music arrangement as a baseline for Nintendo Switch, with the usual gameplay and balance tweaks as per Exa Arcadia standards.

Edit 1 - As I checked the crowdfunding page for the arcade version funding, it looks like the Exa Arcadia version will not reach its crowdfunding goal, plus the unfortunate situation of the pandemic around the world including Japan with stagnating economy. Therefore, unless Mikado decides to find alternatives for the arcade version funding, Raiden IV Mikado Mix will only be Nintendo Switch-bound.
