The 411 on GCN Chaos Field when using AR codes with it...

Post by PC Engine Fan X! »

For dakidski,

Thanks for the Gameshark & Action Replay codes for DC Border Down, Under defeat & Ikaruga. I've been trying to look for the GS codes for DC Ikaruga but no such luck. ^_~

Are there any new GS codes for DC Radirgy import game?

As the old saying goes: "Cheaters never prosper." I'm familar with that phrase and, sometimes, using cheat device codes allows one the opportunity to check out new & virgin shmup gaming territory on said shmup game title if stumped at a certain difficult "roadblock" checkpoint.

FYI, there aren't any new unlockables to unlock on the USA version of GCN Chaos Field shmup when using Action Replay codes to 1CC the game.

Ah, there's no honor when one goes down that route by using such cheat devices to 1CC a shmup game title...this is what seperates the amateur shmuppers from the hard-core shmuppers. Hard core shmuppers don't need such cheat devices as they play the old school way -- practice by playing & formulate your own strategies, tricks & methods to 1CC said shmup game. Then one earns honor & respect going that particular route. This applies to arcade PCBs game titles as well. ^_~

Ironically ( or not ), I do tend to cheat in quite a few games that I own with the exception of shmups. Just doesn't seem right. Ah well, each to their own.

Hehe. Sorry, though I do see the fact that seeing cheat codes float around is somewhat discouraging. :(

Whats the big deal? I don't see a problem with using cheat codes for practice or unlocking stuff you don't have time to do otherwise.

Well, it can get depressing when you can't pass the first level in a shmup. I'd rather cheat and build up a fake selfesteem.

Maybe you can't pass the first level in a shooter, but you sure know how to chain. Four posts in a row, that's damn impressive.
