how is the pal PS1 strikers 45 II?

Post by TVG »

seeing one for a good price, but i just wanted to know.

i heard the PSX version is the best port, but does the pal version lack options compared to the JP one, and is the 50 hz loss of speed really noticeable or just slight?

The EURO version has all the JP options..

But it has NO HI-SCORE board... very weird. You don't enter the initials for your score.

So obviously, there's no saving either.

But it has the Original 1,2 and Arcade mode

Im not sure if the PAL version was affected by the 17% speed difference, but if it was, urg! As long as the speed is okay then it's pretty much identical to the arcade minus the toned-down explosions and water effects.

Just dont buy the Saturn version. :?

i picked this up for £2.99 the other day and it's well worth it.

however i haven't played the arcade so i couldn't tell you if the speed's dropped. it seems to run with no or very little slowdown even in a two player with both using bombs and specials etc.

a bit short though

BTW, in case you still need to know, it does run at 50hz so the speed reduction is present.

you can get rid of the slowdown and 50hz borders by using the 60hz boot CD. The image should be availlable somewhere, I bought it 5 years ago when I didn´t have a CD burner. It´s freeware, but the CD is sold to people who can´t burn it.
I´d still prefer to get the jp. version, which is also pretty cheap (below $20 on ebay) and has hiscore saving.

What's the name of this CD? How can I find it?

That's something very interesting for me, as I have a few Euro releases here...
