Raiden II and DX are the best games in the series and, unlike literally every other entry (ACA Raiden / Mikado Maniax Raiden III / MM Raiden IV / Raiden V), they don't have decent current-gen ports. I think there's some shithouse "Raiden Legacy" by DotEmu, but frankly? I'd break my own back trying to bite my own dick off before playing it!

Shit sucks bro. 3; Hamster will probably get around to it eventually, but then ACA is the advent calendar of STG releases, who knows what'll turn up. Although it'll always be in fine form, whatever it is!

Raiden Legacy doesn't have II or DX either. Another good reason not to waste time with it.

^ Yep! It's excellent, and considered much closer than the lovingly-ported but somewhat erratic Raiden Project. But like most ports of its generation, it's not reference-standard; just a very good rendition of the PCB.
