Does Ikaruga need a remake/remaster?

I was just talking about this game with a friend the other day, saying that it still looks beautiful. As most have already said, I think a remaster is not needed. It's been re-released a ton of times already. I'd rather see another shmup get re-released that has had a limited release or been a Japanese arcade exclusive or whatever else. Plenty of others to choose from.
