Interesting article about history of rank in StGs

Post by Rastan78 »

Came across this blog that discussed various significant or unique rank systems. It starts all the way back with Bosconian and Xevious.

Japanese only, so it's helpful to be fluent in Google translate gibberish. Also some painfully low contrast colored text/background issues. Highlighting the text via select all sorted that out for me.

Nice find! I'm hoping Bosconian gets in on the recent ACA releases, always found it curiously under-repped around here. (outside of Yuzo Koshiro and Hideya Nagata's face-meltingly good X68k OST)

From the Google translated article:
Eye for an eye, tooth for an eye, force for force. According to the teachings of the Code of Hammurabi, the super-strong mantis shrimp is crushed with the power of rapid fire. This is the charm of Darius Gaiden.
Have truer words ever been spoken? I doubt it.
