Not sure what this is but this video shows shoot em ups with the lower 1/3 of the screen obscured. Not sure who would want that.

I get what the OP means, he means that the custom skin overlay corresponds to said shmup being played (hence the proper game title on the lower portion of the screen itself). Definitely a different change of pace when playing STGs on a tate'd LCD monitor setup with this custom shmups inspired skin setup.

That's really nice looking work. I've been thinking about getting a rotated LCD screen for shmups. I use a CRT for my older consoles but this would be a great option for emulation.
