I'm actually refusing to play this, unless they fix the filter or graphics. So, I probably won't. And I own it.
I'm just pissed at Platinum, lately.

I wouldn't buy this unless it was $5 or less. Zerodiv-ass motherfuckers with laggy, buggy games, demanding we pay to be the playtesters.

Unity confuses me. It has been used for some nice games, but suddenly experienced developers are making unpolished games that often look like a college class programming project. Yuji Naka actually made a mobile game that's a variation of 2048. What the heck?

I love this game. Bought it just over a week ago and have put about 23 hours in so far. I had a real blast learning this - which ship to have in front, which charge shot to use, which formation and when (enemies get the V formation, bosses get the bird!). It only occurred to me last night to just use bullet-time for everything. Didn't bother with the DLC.

Playing on Steam, I don't know if it's been stealth-patched but I haven't encountered any more glitches since the first few days I owned this. Had a couple of glitched scene transitions and one where the stage 6 boss disappeared off the side of the screen and never came back. - but nothing since then.

Wiped out at the escape sequence last night, got the Normal All-Clear today. Didn't expect to continue on through hard mode on my first try! Had to suicide at 3-1 because it was my turn to put the kids to bed. 7mil - I might have a shot at the top 10! Is score attack any different than normal mission? I wasn't expecting normal to loop after very easy and easy didn't.
The biggest unanswered question is where is the money? [1CCS]

So according to shmup junkie's testing this game has 9 frames of input lag on Switch along with major framerate drops. That's in horizontal mode. For some odd reason it performs significantly better if you play in tate.

Me. I just expect better than this. If they make a good game, I'll get it, but their last couple of releases have just been so lazy.

Today's the last day to order a LRG physical copy. Decided to bite on Switch despite its issues. Hope I don't regret it, but as a Platinum fan I didn't want to miss out.

Patch 1.02 is out on Switch: https://www.platinumgames.com/official- ... icle/11872

Wonder how the image quality, input latency and framerate is now.

So now that Sol Cresta is out, does this mean we aren't getting the traditional preview video on April 1st?

(also friendly reminder to avoid goofy rumors today)

EDIT!

Oh hey right on cue: https://www.platinumgames.com/games/neo ... ade-series

So, is this a true announcement (like Sol Cresta was), or is there some exaggeration to these plans?

If they are true, I'm happy that the next one will be a beat'em up, and that a total of 9 more titles are coming.
As someone who really enjoyed Sol Cresta, I'll be sure to follow whatever comes next in their Neo-Classic Arcade Series. :)

Can I petition to have Yuzo Koshiro doing every soundtrack?

They released a patch on Steam around the same time as the Switch patch. I guess they wanted to wait and release all of the patches together (even though the resulting version #'s are different).

TBH as much as I was liking this game earlier, it took them so long to release a patch addressing the soft lock problem for Steam (over a month) that I have already moved on. Andro Dunos 2 and G-Darius HD are taking up my time now. I haven't even tested it post-patch to confirm if it fixed the problem.

April 1st is the first day of the fiscal year for many companies in Japan, so that's why we get a lot of real announcements on April Fool's day.

I think the R-Type Final 2 announcement was April 1st as well.

just a heads up, there's a JP physical re-release coming soon if anyone missed it the first time.

just search ソルクレスタ ドラマティックエディション -PS4 on amazon.jp. only $40.

only the PS4 version is up on amazon as far as i can see, I would have preferred Switch, but i snagged a PS4 copy for the time being.

A free demo of the game has been released. You can use it to train.

Is there really no option to adjust the image size so it's not a shimmering mess?
Damn Tim, you know there are quite a few Americans out there who still lives in tents due to this shitty economy, and you're dropping loads on a single game which only last 20 min. Do you think it's fair? How much did you spend this time?

Finally got to try this thanks to the demo —
Not great, but not as bad as reviews and videos made it seem.
I’m actually curious enough to buy it… good job, demo.

It just sucks they launched this demo so late.
Physical copies are now hard to come by, and I’m not gonna drop $$$ on a digital copy that’s so expensive.

Tried the demo, I'm enjoying it so far. But for some reason in the Dramatic Mode the game stops after the mini-boss, and in the Arcade Mode, the game stops halfway at the stage boss. I know it's a trial version, but can't you just give us the first stage in full at least? I got the gist of it, though.

I'm curious to what neo classic game Platinum will do next, they've revealed the themes and there are more STG coming.
