Naomi vs Taito Type X/X2 for shmups

Would you say Naomi or Taito Type X/X2 has the better shmups library? Especially vertical shmups.

I thought it might be interesting to just gather all the known shmup releases for the two sets of systems in one list.
I had kind of an inkling based on DC vs. PS2 shmup libraries what would probably come out ahead, but I guess there is no accounting for taste.

I didn't realize it was so tilted. Is Naomi the best platform for shmups after JAMMA?

Naomi has all the Milestone games, that makes it better.

I do like that the TX games are 16:9 but I have a thing for original hardware and I can't get excited about spinning hard drives. For Naomi, at least a GD-ROM is better than a hard drive and there are a lot of carts too.

The Taito Type X STG title of GigaWing Generations plays in tate (as opposed to the earlier versions of Capcom CPS2 based GigaWing & Naomi based GigaWing 2 with their 4:3 aspect "verizontal" screen overall presentation).

Of course, the Taito Type X STG title of Trouble Witches AC is a yoko based one indeed.

Both Taito Type X STG titles of Raiden III & Raiden IV are presented in tate.

If you have a modified Taito Type X or Type X2 PC tower setup, you can play said games off of a CF card setup without resorting to using the original HDD + dongle key to boot 'em up/play 'em. It's recommended to pick up a modified Type X2 as it can play all previously released Type X based software titles without any problems.
