Trigger Heart Exelica DC

Jut a very quick question, and I apologise if it's been asked before. I just received a Ltd Ed of Trigger Heart Exelice for Dreamcast. It's not booting on my region-modded and VGA-modded system. It's been suggested that it may be because the console is outputting VGA. Is this game not going to work with VGA output?

TE is compatible with VGA.
