For Christmas, my girlfriend got me one of those Polar fitness watches that tracks your steps and workout progress over the course of the day. On Friday, I skipped the gym in the morning and had a long day in the office of just sitting at my desk. By the time I got home, I had only achieved around 50% of my daily goal.
Resigned to my fate, I set up the Switch to play some Esprade, and pulled out the Hori HRAP V. About 20 minutes into the game, my watched started buzzing. "You have reached 100% of your goals!" the display read. Turns out, joystick movement tricks the watch into thinking you're walking. Shmups are cardio after all!

Playing Dimahoo definitely raises my heart rate.
Of course, that's just an opinion.

I imagine playing XII Stag, Varth or Psyvariar would make the thing think you were training for the Olympics.
