The game got an English title, a delay (absolutely SHOCKED to find out it's not coming out within 27 days), and the addition of PS5 and switch versions.

Well the fact that it seems to be moving closer to an English release, AND it is coming out on more platforms!? I call that good news by any stretch.
I think we've long resolved that any announced games for 2020 are bust, lol.

Still madly-stoked to play this.

Another delay, I'm sure you're all very shocked. Some new gameplay footage too.

Looking at that footage, this looks to be a LONG ways off from final. Ship models look pretty decent, but there clearly is very little game in there yet.

Video Director: "More checkboard wipes to the ship intro! MORE!"
Formerly known as 8 1/2. I return on my second credit!

They showed a lot more of the game off 2 years ago. Take from that what you will.

More screenshots and info

It's starting to seem like a 'kitchen sink' type of thing.

Also:

Run the gauntlet over and over in the Shooting Mode—unlocked as you progress through the main story.

Not a big fan of the world "unlocked" there

No mention of an arcade mode is pretty concerning, ngl. They have plenty of time to alleviate this though, and I really hope that they do.

(even) More footage

Today's installment includes an underwater city and fighting a giant head (both of which are Sniffles approved)

footage looks easy (for the VN crowd, eh?) but it's looking good all the same.

Yeah, I think they're going for "accessible"
Then again, give me underwater cities and fighting giant heads and I'm happy, regardless of how hard it is...

Actually, watching this. It looks like the first shooting clip is actually in slow-motion, while the second is normal speed. So maybe they're slowing these clips down

It seems like this won't be another Ginga Force situation in regards to a lack of arcade mode equivalent. That's my main fear alleviated, anyways. I'm sure there will be multiple difficulties, so I'm not really concerned about the main one being made easy enough for VNbabs to get through... that and being able to add another default difficulty 1CC to my kusoclear collection will be nice.

Same. Easy footage still, but man does this game look slick. I can't wait to crank the difficulty to max and just bask in the glow of all them pretty grafixx

Not sure if I'll get used to the adventure parts, but it's definitely the shmup parts I look forward to.

Whoops, had no idea this existed, lol.

Concept looks exciting to me, reminisicent of Sigma Star Saga. More games need to blend shmups with other genres.

What I'm liking about this is the fact the artist is from Kakegurui, so it has a pretty nice looking and unique factor, "very anime" but in a good way in my opinion, Visual novel (which I really enjoy to think since there is going to be more to do and read, and what-not), and G.Rev doing the STG part means I'm gonna nut whenever I play it, after watching the trailers and such, this is essentially an indirect/spiritual sequel to Strania.

Can't wait to play this, maybe I can even writte a review as the G.Rev fanboy I am lmao

Yeah, the character art is really nice (I haven't watched Kakegurui) and as long as this isn't a RXN Raijin situation I don't mind a genre hybrid. IIRC Shep or ACSeraph were at a previous TGS where the devs assured people there'd be a pure arcade mode anyway, so having a neat mash-up to presumably bring in some different faces doesn't bother me.

More videos!

So, I'm currently playing through 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim, and it's gone a loooong way in helping me understand what the hell this game is even supposed to be (full disclosure: I was pretty confounded up until this point)

I'm guessing it operates much like 13 Sentinels in that it's this inactive visual novel with different mini-games and whatnot, but with STG sections instead of RPG
