Raiden Fighters Jet PCB with bad sound

I've read about the later runs of Raiden Fighters PCBs with low quality and short looping audio. This PCB seems to fall into that category but it doesn't have any of the indicators that I thought would differentiate it physically:

That's odd. This is my PCB which looks identical to yours and sounds the same as the carts.

I thought it was only the SYS386 variant of the PCB that had crap audio.

I thought it was odd too. Is there any way to clearly determine whether or not I'm hearing bad audio? Is there a sample of it on YouTube?

Your board does not have the low quality audio, you can tell by the Yamaha chip.

I just needed to turn up the volume on the PCB and turn down the volume on my headphones. Sounds fine now.
