I can't run this game, there's one file missing. I played it a few years ago with no issues.

What MAME build are you playing it on and what file is missing? I know it works in older builds of MAME, just unfortunately without sound.

I'm using the latest version. I tried on older versions too and it doesn't work either. The file missing is "hd647180.019"

Try putting the file name into google.

Either your rom is too old (hence the missing file), or there's an additional bios or device rom missing.

These days you have to keep your romset pretty tightly up-to-date, it's not like in the past when you could keep the same roms for years.

Also up-to-date roms+bios+devices are much harder to find now, 'just google' often doesnt work bc most websites carry outdated sets.

The first step should definitely be just use google. If it still doesn't run you should consider other options.

I got it to work on mame 0.150. No sound tho, pretty lame.

Yeah, the file you were missing is for the sound CPU.
I guess the CPU was decapped in the last couple of years and its embedded ROM is now required by MAME.
