Acrobat Mission (new rapid setting)

Post by erzane »

I play this game since I'm 12. It can be anoying compared to others but this game have a few good ideas and a very, very very big shot (when increased to its max), including two enormous beams which gives a great entertainement. Gameplay is also nice but imperfect. When you lost all your weapons during the last stage, or in front of a powerfull boss, your basic shot turns into weak and heavy, that's why I boosted the gameplay with a new shot. A shot allows me to make the weakest shot more powerfull with a faster frequence (60/sec). At this speed, beam isn't available anymore, that's why I added another A shot with a native speed, linked to the rapid fire, only to charge the beam. Also, the max shot is impressive since its size, the 60/sec rapid increases the visual effect.

With this small rapid, you can choose between five frequences (from 10 to 60/sec) with an easy mapping system based on pushing the button of your choice linked to the selection wire each time you want to increase the speed. Once you choosed your input frequency, you just have to disconnect that wire and play. Only entering into the test menu will cancel your new setting.

I would prefer to sodder some spade connectors for some quick disconnect action.
But that looks cool.

Which auto-fire is that?

Since you can link two ''A'' shots with different frequencies you don't have to disconnect anything. The selection wire is only used to choose the input speed before the game.
It's a rapid-fire from higenekodo.jp

I just meant, if you wanted to take the autofire circuit off the button.

Can you draw a shema for this?

Take two of these, cut the crimp end to make it fit on the pcb slots and sodder them. Then you can plug the rapid-fire pcb on any button, and unplug it when you want to take it out.
Otherwise the pcb is stuck to that button.

I think you didn't get it.
I'll draw you the shema later

The PCB comes attached to the button.

Arcade game board specialized digital potentiometer
[Ultra DP Button Potiko]
【Product Summary】
· Ultra DP button Potiko is an analog operation using a variable resistor used in an arcade game board
Convert to a digital device such as a general joystick,
It is a product made for the purpose of making simple operation possible.
· By operating the digital device connected to the UP / DOWN input terminal of this product or the body button,
The voltage output from the analog output pin can be changed stepwise within the range of 0 V to + 5 V (00 to FF).
By this, steering wheel operations such as drive games are replaced with joysticks for operation,
You can convert accelerator and brake operation to button operation.
[About functions]
· The usage of the body button of the super DP button changes depending on the mode.
· In [Handle Mode] and [Free Mode], switch the operation speed.
In the free mode,
Every time you press the main unit button, you can switch the speed in two stages, while keeping the main unit button pressed,
You can operate with double speed of the current speed and return to the original speed when you release the button.
(Four speeds can be switched in one mode)
The set operating speed is indicated by the blinking speed of the LED built into the button.
In steering mode, you can switch the speed in two steps each time you press the body button.
· In [Axel mode], operate the analog output directly with the body button.
[About mode setting]
[Free mode low speed]
· Switching to this mode by pressing "switch input DOWN" at power-on.
While the switch input UP / DOWN is being input, at the set count speed,
The value of the analog output changes. (The initial value is approximately 2.5 V of the center value)
The analog output value holds the value at the time when the switch input is released until the next input.
· Count speed
12 msec (6 msec when pressed down)
Two stages of 4 msec (2 msec when depressed) are set.
[Free mode high speed]
· Switching to this mode by pressing "switch input DOWN + body button" at power on.
While the switch input UP / DOWN is being input, at the set count speed,
The value of the analog output changes. (The initial value is approximately 2.5 V of the center value)
The analog output value holds the value at the time when the switch input is released until the next input.
· Count speed
6 msec (3 msec when pressed down)
Two steps of 2 msec (1 msec when depressed) are set.
[Handle mode]
· Switching to this mode by pressing "switch input UP + body button" at power-on.
In a specialized mode for handling handle of the drive game,
In the absence of switch input, the analog output keeps the center value of about 2.5 V (80).
(When you release the switch input, it always returns to the center value)
· When the main unit button is kept pressed, it does not return to the center value even when there is no switch input,
It operates in the same state as the free mode.
(When you release the main unit button, it returns to the center value at the same time)
· Count speed
By pressing the body button briefly, you can switch the speed in 2 steps / 1 msec 2 steps.
Page 2
[Forward accelerator mode]
· Switching to this mode by pressing "body button" at power-on.
In a specialized mode for accelerator and brake operation of the drive game,
With the main unit button released, the analog output keeps 0 V (00)
The analog output value increases at the count speed of 1 msec while pressing the main unit button.
(Keeping the maximum + 5V (FF) while pressing the main unit button and returning to 0V (00) whenever you release it)
[Reverse Feed Accel Mode]
· Switching to this mode by pressing "switch input UP" at power-on.
In a specialized mode for accelerator and brake operation of the drive game,
With the body button released, the analog output keeps about + 5V (FF)
The analog output value decreases at the count speed of 1 msec while pressing the main unit button.
(Keep at least 0 V (00) while pressing the main unit button and always return to + 5 V (FF) when released)
* Since the set mode is memorized, it will not be changed even if the power is turned off until the next setting change operation.
