Huh. This is the ex-CAVE staff game, right?
Something to look forward to whenever the hell it is I get around to getting one of these, I suppose.

Re: Aka To Blue: Type S
I hope more people get the chance to pick it up - maybe they can even polish up things regarding the constant voice chatter or the ending being in Japanese. As far as a mobile game goes it's pretty good and was well-suited to the platform. A console release would open up more screen real-estate, potentially remove your finger blocking the ship, and give you a better picture of what's going on (Aka to Blue's biggest problem is that on mobile phone screens, the smaller ones make it harder to dodge effectively).

Re: Aka To Blue: Type S
If it's gonna lack an all stages mode (aka arcade mode) then it's gonna be a waste of a port, because the original game has that problem of making all stages completely seperate.

Pretty good news. Was about to buy it on mobile, but kind of promised myself not to touch my tablet anymore. Switch version is perfection.

Re: Aka To Blue: Type S
Good news, hope they're cooking an arcade mode indeed.

Great News. Hopefully this means more shmups. Quickly the Switch is looking like the go-to system for Shmups.

Re: Aka To Blue: Type S
Eh? The game goes through each stage when you start from stage 1, same way as with any regular arcade shmup, you just have the option from starting from any stage.Kaiser wrote:If it's gonna lack an all stages mode (aka arcade mode) then it's gonna be a waste of a port, because the original game has that problem of making all stages completely seperate.
Re: Aka To Blue: Type S
Yeah let's just buy a $150 arcade stick on top of the $300 cost of a new console to play a port of a mobile game because Nintendo's new console doesn't come with a dpad.pestro87 wrote:https://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-Switch- ... Seems reasonable and I'm sure a lot of people will proceed to do it.
I haven't actively browsed/used this forum in many years and it's no longer an accurate representation of me.

Re: Aka To Blue: Type S
nice surprise. but i wonder how it's gonna play with a pad. the original is designed around very flexibel touch controls thatlet you move around in various degrees of speed

Re: Aka To Blue: Type S
why not just play it on a mobile device that isn't the switch then?Udderdude wrote:You're aware the Switch has the same kind of touchscreen controls, yes?
Re: Aka To Blue: Type S
The mobile version only works on high end smartphones as far as I can tell. Also, they might add a new mode that doesn't use touch controls.

Re: Aka To Blue: Type S
maybe if they added arcade mode too
and even then it would be better on pc
and even then it would be better on pc
Re: Aka To Blue: Type S
I personally don't own consoles, but considering that the Switch seems to start pulling some real market weight now this sounds good. Hopefully it sells well enough to keep their lights on and maybe enables PC releases one day.
Re: Aka To Blue: Type S
it works well on my moto G4, which isn't super cheap but far from high end.Udderdude wrote:The mobile version only works on high end smartphones as far as I can tell. Also, they might add a new mode that doesn't use touch controls.

Re: Aka To Blue: Type S
Unless it comes with some cool arrange mode, I won't double dip.
Re: Aka To Blue: Type S
Great news.
I wonder if it will be relegated to touch/non-docked mode?

At this rate, I won’t be interested into shmups anymore. I am no longer going to be active in this forum from now on. I am more interested into Kemono Friends, rhythm games, D4DJ, Puzzle Games, Hololive, and Pretty Cure.

Now with danmaku?
Oh, I hope Raiden IV Overkill and Raiden V would be next for Nintendo Switch.

@Goompa:
Well, no one had mentioned it thoroughly, but the image looks real as it can be, I mean, there's even visible thumb/fingerprints on the bottom left of that image/switch.
I mean, you'd expect your switch to be free of dirt, dust and marks/prints, right?
