BATTLE GAREGGA REV.2016 (M2)

I've been playing these days with a ROM of Battle Garegga but I don't know if it's the original of arcade.
Can someone tell me where to download the original one of MAME? (there is a lot but not sure which one is the ol' arcade)

If i'm going to try a 1CC I want to do it with no extra help from new versions, just like the original experience

I just remember to mention that in my version I only have 4 ships and the trick to get more ships doesn't work. It's this like the original version or do I need to download another one with that trick working?

It's against forum rules to link directly to roms, but if the rom name is "bgaregga" and MAME doesn't complain about its hash not matching what it expects, you should be fine. In MAME you may need to go to "Game Configuration" in the menu that comes up when you press Tab, and set the region to Japan. That'll let you set the extends to every 1 million in the dip switch settings.

That would depend on if your forum handle starts with a "D" and ends with an "e".

I personally found it to be mediocre.

Picked up the Xbox One version of Garegga last week myself and have been far more satisfied with it. Now I wish I nabbed it back in the day on the Saturn.

There will be a lot of custom fees wenn shipping comes from Korea I guess.
There is some listing on ebay, but it´s even more expensive and I guess there are additional 20€ for customs like with my last order ot PlayAsia
I´d really like to buy this game, but that would be about 73€...

The problem is that by that time the Korean print may have sold out and then have to hope you are available at the time LRG will have them up for purchase.

Even then there will be no guarantee of actually getting a copy because no doubt it will be in huge demand if the PS4 Darius Burst release was anything to go by. The whole things a mess ihmo.

I hope you are right. The nice thing about LRG is that once the print run is sold out the rights revert to the developer so there is nothing stopping another company putting out an English release down the line.

The reversible cover with the Saturn artwork looks really nice though! I'm in the UK and once you are done with the shipping and import fees LRG is still expensive imho, think my copy of Darius Burst came to about £65 all in. The weak pound is killing me!

LRG has never cost me any import fees. They do some kind of repackaging deal in Europe which I think costs them a bit, but saves the consumer in the end. Not sure what happened to your Dariusburst??

Yes, the Korean release includes the game on a disc.

Limited Run Games are in negotiations for an official English release, but there's no guarantee it'll happen and if it does, you'll have to fight the scalpers for a copy.
