Oh, no! I wasn't able to catch any of this live! Icarus, will you be highlighting your Twitch rebroadcasts?

YT reuploads plsplspls
Re: Stunfest 2016 - STG Stream Details (20-22 May)
I think all or almost all of the runs got recorded by icarus and others. He already said that he is going to upload it to youtube soon.
Re: Stunfest 2016 - STG Stream Details (20-22 May)
The only runs I'm missing are from Friday, as I wasn't recording that day. I have Zaarock's recording of DBACEX, so the only run missing is Strikers 1945.
Re: Stunfest 2016 - STG Stream Details (20-22 May)
DKA, it was a pleasure meeting you guys as well and I'm glad that I could teach you something about the game.
Let me know if you're ever in Stockholm!

Really wanting the vids! Looking forward to SDOJ, G2 double and CCWI

It's probably for the best. His credit ended early in the loop and he needed four continues to finish.
He seemed really nervous during both runs, but SDOJ was fun to watch. I don't think I've ever wanted someone to clear a game so badly.

They have some sort of partnership with Dailymotion.
Re: Stunfest 2016 - STG Stream Details (20-22 May)
Aw that's a shame! Admittedly I've never seen him play Strikers but in Lie Huo he toys with SDOJ Expert (and DOJ WL for that matter) like a cat with a two legged mouse. Didn't think that guy had any nerves, lol.NTSC-J wrote:It's probably for the best. His credit ended early in the loop and he needed four continues to finish.

No one mentioned GII double play yet, I'm wondering about that one.

A bit of news on the VODs front: I spoke to my contact on the 3HITCombo audiovisual team that runs the setup for the main stage and all of the French stream accounts for Stunfest, and he's given me access to a playlist with all six of the broadcasts untrimmed. I already have Sat and Sun's streams uploaded to YT as I recorded those locally while broadcasting, but I'll release everything once I get back home and can download Fri's runs as well.
Re: Stunfest 2016 - STG Stream Details (20-22 May)
Awesome! This is great news. Will it include you and ratikal commentating?
I hope so

Re: Stunfest 2016 - STG Stream Details (20-22 May)
Shame I couldn't make it this time. Also a bit of a shame for Mills, because he was looking forward to seeing some maximising techniques on Strikers 1945. But if the guy was nervous......
Anyway, eager to see mullets and vids here and on Youcube.
Regs,

EDIT:- Watching DKA's Darius Burst EX run with ICR and Ratikal. Very nice! Lots of Border Down-type laser destruction, timed for max points. Why is Zaarock's Youcube vid up as "comments disabled"?

Yup, considering Border Down is basically the evolution of the Darius series. The Border Down laser with its counter timing for destruction of larger enemies at the end of the beam, would be very similar to the Darius Burst tactics employed here. What is the meaning of Border Down-type laser?

Galuda II Double Play was spectacular, loved the Alice clone strat.
Did anyone film his hands during the run though? I figured that was kind of an essential for double play demonstrations because the dexterity is so impressive. I would have loved to have seen a cam on his hands for the run.
Looking forward to the rest, thanks for the uploads!

I can't answer if anyone recorded it but the main stream had cams on his hands i assume as it did for the raiden iv play.Skykid wrote:Galuda II Double Play was spectacular, loved the Alice clone strat.

With french commentary though.
I think everything that was played on the main stage will eventually be uploaded on this account ; they are currently working on it afaik.
Re: Stunfest 2016 - STG Stream Details (20-22 May)
I wasn't given access to the stage cameras (hand cam, player cam, audience) for technical reasons. It would have been nice to have them, but most of my time was spent stressing about the PCB video feed that we only just managed to get working at the very last minute.
Re: Stunfest 2016 - STG Stream Details (20-22 May)
Ha ha, WC's SDOJ run!
I loved listening to the commentary. I can imagine the audience was about dead trying to watch that.
I did say in my article he's a nutcase, I've never seen anyone play quite so erratically as a form. That said, he counterstopped that shit all day long in Shanghai, it's a shame nerves got the best of him here.
Still, was really good fun to watch.
