I saw it year ago, I thought this is just another fan-made game.

The gameplay isn't really good at all.

I could see this being decent with some tweaks for pacing and difficulty. Although some of the Salamander mechanics aren't going to work when your can move the ship that fast. Shame to see something this far along go unfinished.

I still love the style of stage 3. More shmups need fire stages.

No comment on the game, other than I like the brutally chunky Vic artwork - different, interesting!

Well there's a link to a download, so if he or anybody else wants it he can certainly get it and it'd take less than six months.

If you ever wanted to say you cleared a free-to-play game on your first try without buying anything, this is it.

So, just to confirm, this means there's no option to use controller, right? It's just a choice between s****y touch screen controls?

When I try to start it on my Nexus 6 it just says "Unfortunately, [file name] has stopped."

Any idea what I should do?

Works just fine on my Nexus 4. Pretty hard to maneuver through all the upgrade options without any knowledge of chinese though...
Anyway, thanks for sharing!

Wow, this thread has been here 2 days, and I never even saw the "Salamander" part. My eyes kept glazing over after "Android".

After putting some time into this I would say it's not the greatest shmup on android - that still is Danmaku Unlimited 2 - but it's not that bad also. Miles better than the horrendous Korean Mushicrap from a frew months ago that's for sure...

Is this that Salamander Generations that some people talked about?

Hope there's some sprites I can rip on this.

So, all sprites are readily available on the apk. Unfortunately they're kind of ugly, pre-rendered 3D stuff.

I really like the char artwork and the ship designs in this game.

Does anybody know who did the art for this? Cool stuff.

I'm really not a fan of touch screen gameplay though.

Wouldn´t have minded this at all on Consoles / Steam. Certainly looks more interesting than Otomedius.

Tried to install the game on my wifey's asus zenfone 2, and it worked. And then I sadly found out that the touch control is so bad, one of the worst I've tried on a smartphone shmup.

BTW, nobody has mentioned it in this thread yet, but the interesting thing about this game is that it's a remake of the Famicom version of Salamander (NES Life Force).

What are the names of the characters and ships? I have a feeling these are the characters from the MSX game.
