Not saying it isn't, just wondering why people tend to vote for it over the rest of the Psikyo library.
Because it's kind of a 'transitional' game between the straightforward earlier Psikyo and the more sophisticated later games. Thus, everyone who likes either flavour of Psikyo is pretty much guaranteed to also like Strikers II.

That makes perfect sense.

There must be a reason or two why people don't play Strikers III more, let me guess; because it's ugly and nasty ?

I do much prefer the graphics of part1.

p.s.
Am i seeing things or vanilla 1945-II looks better than neo geo remix?

RLS prevented me from voting this year. Perhaps Psikyo may have had a better showing if I'd got my finger out!

Not ugly enough.

The best thing about it is easily the tech bonuses, which were done better in DB. Trivial item chaining bonuses.

Ship selection is bad. Isn't the popular thing just to go for the hidden ship, which is like a less fun version of II's Flying Pancake? Lame.

It's actually tied with Marvel Vs Capcom 2 for that title.

I always noticed Battle Garegga's depth was unintended based on my limited experience with the game. I figure it is more appreciated for its approach developed by the community than the developers' intention. It kills the purpose of the game but I still highly respect players who master Battle Garegga. It requires so much dedication.

The gameplay is solid in S1945II, but i always found the graphics to be pretty mediocre outside of some cool boss designs (the last boss looks like garbage though) and that soundtrack is fairly homogenic and basic. IMHO, Gunbird II deserved it's spot.

Love the graphics, boss music, and boss design, but you're right - the planes are awful. I love the Mosquito in II. The Harrier in III (its equivalent) would be great too, if its bomb didn't have a delay.

The rest of the planes are too weak - just an opinion.

Edit - All this Psikyo talk..I think I know what I'm spending my amazon gift card on finally. Thanks guys!
You're sure to be in a fine haze about now, but don't think too hard about all of this. Just go out and kill a few beasts. It's for your own good. You know, it's just what hunters do! You'll get used to it.

The "why aren't the bullets moving super slow like in cave games" kind of pain?

Because some people actually enjoy seeing the bullets before they hit them?

The bad design is part of the completely legitimate challenge.

All great games bear a few obvious flaws. But no average nor 'good' game displays several really fucking outstanding qualities at once.

Garegga is a great game.

There will always be some people to say it stinks though, but you know, when the sage points to the moon...

At least it's Garegga on 1st place, not Radiant Silvergun.

While RS impresses me in audiovisuals, it feels so aimless for me. "Okay you have 7 weapons and you are flying and hey - use this here, this here and this here...". I never got satisfaction of blowing up enemies in RS. Even "puzzle shmup" Ikaruga gives more of it.

All of above are my impressions of course.

Personally I like the faster more realistic- harder to see and less time to react psikyo and raizing bullets as opposed to the slow moving, huge, pinkish-purple curtains of cave. And I'm by no means a good shmup player; I just enjoy the former a lot more. Cave is awesome though almost in spite of that.

I don't think anyone would put Silvergun over Ikaruga. The hierarchy is pretty clear here.

Try one of the following:

Gunbird 2
Dragon Blaze
Zero Gunner 2

Anything but bland.
