Looking for kapolab Shmups

Post by Gespenst »

Does anyone here have full collection of these freeware shmups made by kapolab? FYI all these shmups are mouse control only.

Blast Noodles
AAO
Beam Zone
Nimaibashver
Evil Armada
AAO 2
Zilleta

I only have Evil Armada and Zilleta I've downloaded back when Shoot the Core site still alive. In fact, only Evil Armada can be downloaded from the Web Archive link above.

Some of those games look alright.
I think I might have Blast Noodles on an old hard drive somewhere.
I'll have a look.

Hey Kapo - are you the developer then?

I just approved your first post. That means that you can now post and so on freely.

I saw you'd actually tried twice to post the above (presumably in an attempt to see you first post instantly - it happens often! :) ). I deleted the duplicate, so you know. Now you can post freely, you should see your posts appear at once. And welcome!

Hi Spadgy, yes I am the developer.
I am Japanese and please don't mind the weirdness of my English.
Thank you for approving my post, I will enjoy this Shmups Forum, thank you :D

After 8 years I have started making a new one now.
New one is playable on PC and Smartphone web browser, at my Kapolab website.

This seems really fun :)
Hoping to have some time to play it more later, just got to stage 2 so far. How many levels are there?

Hi kapolab,

we have a thread where we are archiving old/freeware shmups for posterity ( viewtopic.php?f=1&t=64575 ), if you still have the files of those mentioned below would you care to share them with us so we can put them in the archive?

Hi donluca,

I saw the archive, I found a folder for my games!
And gladly it's all there.

Played a run of AAO Closer. Fun game! I don't yet understand the scoring system and some of the other mechanics, and I do not usually play shooting games with mouse control, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. I'll try to get further than stage 4 next time.

Thank you for making this, kapolab. Will try out some of your older games as well when I get the time.
