STGT Gaiden - Doujin Label - Main discussion thread

Due to unfortunate timing of the STGT Gaiden and TRP STGT, which completely overlaps for all the 5 weeks, we will have to postpone the STGT Gaiden. Players are requesting TRP STGT to be held first and looking at the past popularity of it, we will be lucky to have 15 players in the STGT Gaiden. And I think it is unfair to expect players to split their attention between two games. The best compromise would have been to split the weeks between STGT Gaiden and TRP STGT in halves but that will not come to pass.

But, to remind you, we are just postponing the tournament, STGT Gaiden will be back. And, when its back, it will back to back weeks of intense shooting action.

So farewell, we will meet again.

So I deliberated on what to actually do. If we do postpone it so that the first voting week is concurrent with the last playing week of TRP-STGT, STGT Gaiden playing would start on June 16th and end on July 20th. Is that a timeframe people would be okay with? Or would those of you who intend to play in both be too burned out to do STGTs ten weeks in a row? Postponing Gaiden further than that is... probably not a possibility for myself as the week after June 20th is when I start having scheduled things. Given that we're two hosts and we're not participating as players it might be doable anyway.

What I was getting at is that if we stick to that revised timeframe, maybe we can just keep signups running to see if we can draw in more people.

I'm interested in taking part in this stgt too. I don't mind waiting, and I don't mind having more than one on at the same time. It all depends on a person's situation. For me for example, I don't know how busy I'm going to be in the coming months. But, as long as people can give a heads up early on to their teams, I think it should be good. I think leniency is good in stgts, as having fun is the most important thing.

This summer is really really up in the air for me, so it's hard for me to say for sure if I'll be free at any point to put a huge amount of time into this, but that timeframe is probably as good as any other. Seeing as I'm not participating in TRP-STGT, though, I can't really speak about whether the overlap would be a problem.

For me at least it is a decent compromise and a better timeframe.

I'm just gonna sit and wait here until someone creates a team for procastinators.

No. We know it's postponed, but we still need to sign up right? Unless signups are postponed as well for whatever reason, though I don't see why they would be. Also Lilium will be the 5th member, though she hasn't posted in the thread.

yes registrations are open (well now they are).

come on in, sit down, relax. make some friends. the rides been delayed, but once it gets going, better hold on to something...

also, as kenny posted above, lets us know if you are okay with kicking off right after TRP STGT ends or if you would like a break in between.

start date is on hold pending enough interest. So guys, come on and show some interest, make some posts that you want this tourney to go live.

Also, yes i think almost all games should run under wine.
