Still don't like. I like to be able to see what I'm playing as lol.

Humanoid manuevering feels more suited to the kind of tactile dodging in shmups anyway IMO.

That feels so weird to me. For me, in fact, I'm the exact opposite. Few shoot em ups with humans as the "ship" appeal to me. Some of the cotton games, King's Knight, maybe a couple of others. Dragons are fine, though.

Yeah I'm a minority.

TBH I didn't start really liking shmups for the first time till I realized that the movement was the same as the top down legend of zelda's lol.

I do on occasion, but not often. For me to get the most out of it I have to hook the laptop up to the TV, and I'm lazy. :D
You're sure to be in a fine haze about now, but don't think too hard about all of this. Just go out and kill a few beasts. It's for your own good. You know, it's just what hunters do! You'll get used to it.

Probably Sci-fi, the best.

I like all the others mentioned, but I'm not that bonkers about cute 'em ups. But I do like some of them. Sexy Parodius comes to mind.

EDIT: Parodius isn't a cute 'em up? I always thought it was.

I would say that I don't like the "weird" section almost at all...but Parodius is listed in that.

Would Muchi Muchi Pork fit under cute 'em up, or weird?
