So I'm guessing there aren't any differences in text between the endings for the different difficulties?
Thanks! I had to double check this and it turns out that there were subtle differences between the epilogues. I have added the translations for the Easy and Hard epilogues as well.

Just got a copy of Ginga Force and I played it to around 13% w/out the help of this translation though, I just used the pictures thats displayed next to each item to guess what they are but I will use this translation in the future, thanks! Anyway, I think pestro87 did the translation for the DDP:SDOJ interview, the most recent one, and they mentioned a coin and shop system,

*sniff, sniff*

Do I smell a copy kitten?

Blackcloak did the translation for the DDP SDOJ interview :) Great to hear that you got your copy, Aleksei! It's an awesome game. I was thinking the same thing when I heard that SDOJ will feature a shop system as well, haha.

I was planning on translating the "Guide of Seven Tier" (can be accessed in the Gallery section) as well. It contains some backstory which people might find interesting if Qute decides to make a sequel (they kind of hinted at it in the epilogue).

Yeah you should translate that!

By the way, I love the training mode.

12:48 - Just finished Ginga Force on Easy woohoo!
Also, I got to level 6 on normal before calling it a night.
The weapons I think are the most useful for the final two stages on easy mode are the laser and subweapon tracking shot.

50% finished so far.

2:21 am 63%, stuck on lvl 10 boss,

I would appreciate any help on how to beat him with the four+2 ships I have...

What does the HINT message for boss 10 say when you are on the retry screen?

IIRC, the hint message is randomized and it's just a general hint. I'd recommend that you equip the 耐久度表示 item as it allows you to see how much HP the boss has left. In order to get a clear you need to destroy the middle part of the boss so "aim for the core" :) Sorry for the late reply, Aleksei but I didn't see this until now... I've just started translating the "Guide of Seven Tier" so I should hopefully have that up soon.

Guide of Seven Tier

Image

惑星セブンティアの開拓1- Exploring the Planet Seven Tier 1

In the distant future, mankind had already expanded beyond our solar system. 6 planets had been explored in the past and many people had already emigrated there.

At that time, a 7th Earth-like planet was discovered, Seven Tier.

Seven Tier was considered a suitable planet for humans to live on provided that it had sufficient time for terraforming. Moreover, a study revealed that the planet had a large amount of a useful new energy material, Septonium.

惑星セブンティアの開拓2- Exploring the Planet Seven Tier 2

The issues with the population growth had already been resolved by the time the 6th planet was discovered. Because of that, people had already lost the enthusiasm of exploring new planets and the aggressive immigration plan did not occur.

At that point, the energy company “Magnificence Energy Corporation” (aka. the Magni company), turned its eyes on the Septonium. This played a central role as there were a small number of people who moved there to search for the energy resources.

惑星セブンティアの現在- The current planet Seven Tier

Approximately 300 years had elapsed and people were immigrating to Seven Tier.

The Magni company had successfully terraformed Seven Tier. Human society was born on the planet and several large cities were built.

マグニ社 – The Magni company

Energy company “Magnificence Energy Corporation”, aka. the Magni company.

The majority of the people who live on Seven Tier have a connection to the Magni company, who governs the planet.

The Earth Federation required that in order for the Magni company to govern the planet, they would have to establish a fair monitoring system by operating the AI “Special”.

セブンティアの治安 – The Security of Seven Tier

Shortly after the planet was explored, the Magni company had absolute governance. However, this has recently been delegated to private security companies.

That's how private security companies currently play a role that is similar to the planet’s police.

MSS

The “Mitsurugi Security Service” (aka. MSS) is a security company that is responsible for 65% of Seven Tier. MSS is also exclusively the Magni company’s security company.

SMC

The “Seven Tier Military Corporation” (aka SMC) is a company that provides military aircrafts and security aircrafts for MSS and the Magni company.

Only SMC and the Magni company are allowed to manufacture military weapons in Seven Tier.

監視AIスペシア – AI Monitoring System, Special

Official name: Inspection System “Special”

The Earth Federation stated that it was mandatory for the Magni company to have the AI, Special, monitor Seven Tier if they were to govern the planet.

The hologram image of Special, that’s become the Earth Federation’s mascot, is widely known amongst the people of Seven Tier.

セプトニウム – Septonium

A high energy mineral was discovered on Seven Tier. This mineral is expected to become the next-generation energy.

Most of the mantle that’s surrounding the stratosphere of the planet of Seven Tier consists of Septonium. It is believed it can produce a virtually unlimited amount of energy.

セプトニウムエネルギー開発 – Developing Septonium Energy

The planet’s energy had become self-sufficient thanks to the Septonium energy. The Magni company’s next goal is an energy transmitter that is able to send energy outside of the solar system. The construction of that facility is 70% completed.

The energy from the Septonium crust is said to be extracted from large plants. The energy is transmitted between solar systems by giant antennas that have been placed on satellites in orbit.

セントラルシティ – Central City (Chapter 1)

Seven Tier’s largest city.

The city’s area contains an administrative district in the upper layer of the center region and government facilities in the lower layer. Residential areas are surrounding the central core in the north, south, east and west directions. There’s a business district, industrial district and a terminal district. The perimeter of the city is rapidly expanding to other regions with new districts currently under constructions. The street that leads outside of the city has a gate that you need to pass through.

クレイシティ – Clay City (Chapter 2)

Data Center “Clay City”

A Science Center that was built around 100km away from the Central City.

The enormous server group occupies most of the town. It consists of the distributed server that functions the capital and the monitoring AI Special’s core server.

It also has a large quantity of research facilities. It has R&D facilities for the Magni company, the SMC company, MSS and so on. The research and development have been actively carried out.

ナイアデス – Naiads (Chapter 3)

Water Supply Management District “Naiads”.

An enormous artificial lake, “Rusalka lake”, surrounds the area. There are a large number of water pump and water purification facilities scattered underground.

Facilities to provide reliable water resources were highly prioritized during the process of terraforming the planet of Seven Tier.

アルセイデス – Alseeds (Chapter 4)

The “Alseeds” district, the ground that’s the border/edge for the administration/management.

Facilities that conducted experiments on how to genetically engineer the soil so that it’s optimized for growing plants on Seven Tier for terraforming the planet can be found on this location.

The superiors gave consent of this region since there’s a strong magnetic field that prevents wireless communication across the land. All persons, except authorized personnel, are prohibited from entering here.

オレアイデス - Oreaids (Chapter 5)

Resource Mining Area District “Oreaids”

Seven Tier’s major mining industry for Septonium, iron (and other metals) and rare ores are operational in this district. The Septonium mines are the pinnacle of those.

セブンティア上空 – The sky above Seven Tier (Chapter 6)

A large number of airborne cargo shuttles are primarily operating in the sky above Seven Tier. The cargo shuttles are essentially built for being unmanned and are operating on auto-pilot.

Incidents were shuttles have suddenly went missing have been occurring as of late, which has become an annoyance for the shipping companies.

軌道エレベーター – Orbital Elevator (Chapter 7)

Installed across Seven Tier. Extracts the atmosphere during expansion. The catapult transportation can be used for re-entry.

アステロイドベルト – Asteroid Belt (Chapter 8 )

The asteroid belt that’s surrounding Seven Tier. The high density of asteroids in the area makes it an optimal place to hide since it’s a blind spot for various sensors and radars.

セプトニウム精製施設 – Septonium Refinery Facilities (Chapter 8 )

Facilities for refining Septonium by extracting the energy from raw materials.

Section 4 has the 9th orbital elevator that leads to a Septonium refinery facility. It’s a legacy refinery facility that’s no longer in use. Viridian is secretly using that place to construct a large number of weapons.

旧式カタパルト – Old Catapult (Chapter 10)

Viridian has been using it as his secret hideout. The legacy refinery facility has an old catapult that was used for transportation. Viridian uses it to head towards the interstellar antenna facility.

Character Profiles

Image

Image

Alex Heatburn
21 years old, 172 cm tall

Good fit for being a pilot. No prior work experience. Lacks judgment. Highest mark on the combat simulator test.

As for his personality, he has a strong sense of justice and is a hot-blooded type. Dislikes studying without garnering any knowledge beforehand. Has a personality where his body learns quickly in a situation.
(I think that they mean “knowledge” as in “hands-on experience”)

Aircraft: FV-G27 Enforcer (aka: Hound 1)
Typ: Police (MSS)

Image

Margaret Whitetail
24 years old, 161 cm tall

Clearheaded. Has excellent judgment. Mediocre as a pilot.

Alex’ trainer and partner. Was acquainted with Alex from the very beginning.

Was the deputy pilot under Captain Brown prior to becoming Alex’ partner. Has an excellent track record and is respected.

Aircraft: FV-G27 Enforcer (aka: Hound 1)
Type: Police (MSS)

Image

Nina Lynn
23 years old, 157 cm tall

Operator of the MSS special forces. Synchronized with Margaret.

Handles work efficiently for the department. Has a generally easygoing personality.

Image

Edward Brown
40 years old, 183 cm tall

Was originally a part of the elite on the 5th planet but is currently working on Seven Tier. Has excellent insight and a unique detached presence.
(I used “detached” here for a lack of a better word but the literal translation is actually “floaty”)

It’s unusual for people in MSS to be born on other planets and as such, many are therefore placed in other units, far away from the rest. Has a strong trust in Margaret.

Image

Jack Anderson
26 years old, 174 cm tall

Uses an armed mech to execute robberies for a living.

Aircraft: EV-H18 Rhino (aka hangar)
Type: General work

Image

Tini Memoril
11 years old, 135 cm tall

Genius hacker at an early age. Does data center hacking. Has exceptional knowledge of computer networks. Other than that, she’s normal for her age.

Cute and curious by birth.

Aircraft: CV-A103 Flamingo
Type: Demo test aircraft

Image

Ghana Freeman
29 years old, 169 cm tall

Carries out terrorist acts against the Magni company in order to avenge one loss. It seems like she has a personal grudge against the Magni company.

Aircraft: FG-107 Orca
Type: Combat

Image

Serum Turnwheel
43 years old, 178 cm tall

President of the Mirror Shield Industry company. Has doubts about the monopoly that the Magni company has and aspires to rival them.

While ostensibly seen as a solid business man, his secret family-run business deals with weapons trafficking. The reason for this is because he has a burning passion to rival the Magni company’s certified SMC company.

Aircraft: DD-C173 Killer Moss
Type: General work

Image

Genzo Shigeta
52 years old, 160 cm tall

Used to be the boss of the Septonium mines however, he was too hard-working which caused a problem when the mine was being closed down.

Aircraft: EV-V05 Flying Mole
Type: General work

Image

John Huan
56 years old, 129.3 cm tall

Very rich and has plenty of things such things as villas and private space shuttles. Does not care about how much things cost. The news is that he attempted to hijack a transportation shuttle.

Aircraft: GT-D620 Hercules
Type: Combat

Image

Natsuki Sugiura
24 years old, 157 cm tall

Member of the MSS emergency squad. Sees everything as either right or wrong. Follows the orders of the upper management no matter what. Has arrived to put a stop to Hound 1 by the order of MSS.
(loose translation here. The literal translation is more like Natsuki has a “really true picture in her eyes” as opposed to “sees everything as either right or wrong” but I assume that’s what they mean)

Aircraft: FG-G21 Gollum
Type: Police (MSS)

Image

Inspection system “Special”

The Earth Federation required that in order for the Magni company to govern the planet, they would have to operate the monitoring AI “Special”. Special had been imprisoned in a small storage compartment by the hands of Viridian but Alex was able to rescue Special by working together with her.

The hologram image of Special, that’s become the mascot of the Earth Federation, is widely known amongst the people of Seven Tier.

Image

Viridian Taylor
42 years old, 189 cm tall

One of the executives of the Magni company. Has been pushing for developing Septonium energy. Conceals the danger of the Septonium energy for his own personal gains while putting the people on the planet of Seven Tier at risk.

Aircraft: CUA23 Bryunak
Type: Combat

No problem man! The character profiles were actually the only thing that I had left to translate in this game (apart from some of the boss dialogues but they mostly consists of "aaaah", "what an incredible attack!" and so on so I don't have any plans on translating those) so I will now mark this translation as complete :)

デュオエンジンベンヌ – Duo-engine Bennu (possible typo on Qute’s part maybe? Shouldn’t it be ベンニ “Benny”…?)
8,000 CR
2速式 通常速タイプ – 2 speed mechanism, normal speed type

sorry my poor english.

"Bennu" is bird name in Egyptian Myth.
engine naming is cause by bird's(often mystic) name.

Thanks for the update autumnmotor. I saw you'd actually posted it three times. Just so you know, once you make your first ever post here you have to wait for approval before you can post freely and publicly. NI just approved you, so now you can post freely. However, I did delete two of the three repeated posts, as I presume you only made those repeat posts in an attempt to get one to appear. And welcome!

I have gone through my Story Mode translation and made some minor corrections here and there.

I have also added English subs (through annotations) on my Story Mode - Normal playthrough on Youtube using my Story Mode translation. Took a bit of time but I think the end result turned out pretty all right:

I got a request to translate the dialogues that occur during the boss battles as well so I did that and added them to the Chapter translations. I will add them as subs (through annotations) to the story mode playthrough as well in the next few days.

EDIT: Boss dialogues have been added in annotations to the playthrough video now

Thanks a ton for translating all of this! Came across a copy of this game a while back and your translations helped me make sense of everything. Sorry for bumping up such an old topic, but I'm doing a write-up of this game for an Xbox blog I run and have a question: do you mind if I post some of your translations up on there? I'll acknowledge and give you full credit of course. My blog is over at xboxoverview.blogspot.com.

I haven't actively browsed/used this forum in many years and it's no longer an accurate representation of me.

I have retired from genre-specific content creation after 13 years, but I'll always love this little genre in my own personal way.
