Great news to hear that SDOJ will be appearing on the JPN 360 console...shall pre-order it when it's feasible. The ol' trusty JPN 360 Slim at my side will waiting to fire up SDOJ next spring.
The next question is: Will Cave include an official SDOJ superplay DVD along with said 360 game port of SDOJ?

There are no superplays dvd's bundled with any of their 360 ports, so I would be surprised if this had one. LE will almost certainly have an arranged soundtrack though.The next question is: Will Cave include an official SDOJ superplay DVD along with said 360 game port of SDOJ?

So, what is the general opinion on this game? I know there was a lot of griping about all the backgrounds looking the same, and the bikini stuff.

Besides, we should be expecting some new soundtrack...The only part of the OST that feels original enough for me is the first stage theme (specially the entrance... feels like some Disco in the 70's )
and just as the guy above said... hell, we get to dodge something this time instead of sometimes abusing the hyper system...

Actually, Cave have been doing their own superplay DVD's since Ibara, so it would most likely be from Cave. Everything is blue, simple and glowing so you can spot enemies and their routes easily, and it's designed to be like that just for that reason. Scoring is simple, and very heavily based on survival. You get a good score by not getting hit and using a lot of hypers. Hypers are beautiful and dynamic. Rank is visible. Bullets glow, you can't get hit by a bullet you didn't notice.
Voice-acting (HYPER SYSTEM, LEADY) makes the game feel alive.
There is only one loop, with 2 difficulty levels.
It has arguably the hardest CAVE boss ever. (or at least the final pattern)

Cagar is basically correct with the points he made. Whether it's better than Ketsui is yet to be seen.
It also looks like a return to form that CAVE haven't had since 2005.
Deathsmiles II - crappy graphics, ridiculous enemy design and non-existent difficulty
Deathsmiles - retarded scoring system based on incredibly finicky recharge timings, overly drastic difference between difficulty levels
Muchi Muchi Pork - Actually, this is really good so I take it back. Should have had a visible hitbox, but Yagawa is a retard so what do you expect
Pink Sweets - Lol! This is what happens when you let Yagawa be in charge of anything ever. Arrange mode was good though
Espgaluda - Overly finicky scoring system, causer of chronic restartitis, dreary, washed out soundtrack
I can't wait for this port, should be a lot of fun to play if the videos are anything to go by. Of course Yagawa had a hand in it so you can't get away without some of his trademark retardation, in this case the hilariously overpowered EX bosses.
