And anyway, if they're going to release a port it's going to be within 7-9 months of the PCB's release, like all the previous cave ports. It's already been nearly 9 months since Galuda 2 was released and we don't even have a port announcement let alone a release date.
Not AOU, JAMMA/AM Show. Different things. And yes, they do announce ports around the time.
But anyway, yeah, who knows (nobody here)? I'm just saying people are calling it too close right now..

This one is more like euphoric trance to Espgaluda's urgent beats. I love euphoric and this one is right up my alley. ^_^
GaijinPunch wrote:I guess it's not coming. Why not bite the bullet and get the PCB?
Because I'm forking out another £1200 for my university tuition and cannot afford expensive PCBs at the moment. ^_-
Maybe when it drops a bit lower. Who knows? By then, a port may be announced (unlikely but one can hope).

Is university really that important?
As for Mushi port being announced around a show. Most games are announced BEFORE the shows (like now) and then shown. 2D shooting games are hardly "game show" material though. The last one that I recall that made a big stir at any game show was Gradius V

More important than a PCB. ^_-

We'll have to see closer to the date of the show if anything is announced. Some companies like to surprise people, which then generates a lot of interest.
Just got my Espgaluda II kit this evening. Been playing it for the past 2 hours. Great game and a lot of fun to finally be able to play it at home, but I have to wait for my 'real' joystick (HRAP modded with all Sanwa parts) to arrive with the PS2>Neo adaptor. I'm not having too much luck with the Neo Geo stick I bought.

Well, that's true. In a month or so the issue should be clear. Anything until then is pretty much just idle speculation.
Well, it could also be a matter of implementing an appropriate Arrange Mode. I don't really see a Mushi "girl's mode" as applicable since the game already features auto-bomb during Kakusei Mode. I doubt we'll see something like Ibara's Arrange Mode, since that was being developed along-side Ibara Kuro... and there are no plans for ESPGaluda II Kuro. Last, but not least, a bullet-free mode wouldn't make any sense since the entire scoring system is built around manipulating enemy fire.
So, would doing another ESPRa.De.-esque bonus mode work in ESPGaluda II? Or do you think they'd try to go with something completely different?
My OST arrived as well, as limp as that sounds following a post about receiving the actual game. I actually hadn't heard much of it as I hadn't seen many videos. My mind had long been made up to buy this after having the sound from the first videos of it (I think those were GPs) stuck in my head for the longest time. This is my kind of release - attention to the smallest detail, beautiful design for a simple CD, and no fluff. Even the obi is made of clear plastic. Love the euphoric sound showers, and the acoustic quality should give it a fresh edge even for owners of the PCB. I haven't played it but I can't imagine it reproducing the multitude of sounds and layers with optimal resolution and clarity. The OST alone lays it on thick in that department and I haven't even started on the arranged tracks yet. Very classy.
Excellentcom's pricelist for September was just released, this is still $716 for a brand new boxed PCB kit. No price drop from last month. At this point, with no port in sight, the brand new kits will probably stabilize at this price until they sell out.

I'm praying they drop a little more. I dont' care, I'll dip a little deeper in debt considering this one may never get ported and the first Galuda is one of my favorites.
This seems like a joke. I'd rather be playing this on the PS2. Even a filtered and upscaled "Recapped" port of ESPGaluda II would be better than one which confines you to a low-detail screen half the size of a credit card, not to mention the relatively poor D-pads on cellphones.
I'd like to see an ESPRaDe-style bonus mode added to any PS2 port of ESPG2, but with a couple more surprises thrown in.

How about ESP Ra.De. itself as the bonus.
I'm sure that would constitute far more work and for the company itself to come to such a realization is basically nil. We got the ESP Ra.De. bonus in Espgaluda PS2 and I think that'll probably be it.
What would be nice is if they released a double or triple pack even of ESP Ra. De., Guwange, & Dangun Feveron, rather than some cash grab of a cell phone concoction for ESPG2.
I don't know whether they share similar architecture to enable less monotonous porting but it'd definitely be a worthy setup I'm sure many people around here have thought of. Sorry for the bit of OT.

Well, you can get it a bit cheaper from fujitacommunications.com, they sell it for 69,000 yen for a brand new kit and that's a bit under $600 USD.
If there is no port, definitely save up the cash to get the PCB. It's completely worth it. I think it's far better than the first game (the new zesshikai system is great) and I was a big fan of the first game. With the three characters who all play so differently, Galuda 2 has a lot of replay value in it. It's basically the only game I've played for the past month, and I'll probably play it until the end of the year at least (hope to get a mushi futari kit some time around then).

Yeah, but ESPRa.De. and Guwange are still owned by Atlus, right? So they would have to be the ones to initiate a homeport, not Cave.
And just about every Cave shmup has gotten a crappy cell phone game.
Kiken wrote:Yeah, but ESPRa.De. and Guwange are still owned by Atlus, right...
crap, I keep forgetting this fact the few times it comes to mind
either way, it would be nice if they tried something new as arrange in ESP2 home port than another ESPRa.De. style mode...
Excellentcom's October price list came out today. A new lower price for brand new Galuda 2 kits, just $656! Buy your kit today. They also have these brand new Cave kits at lower prices:
not sure if i should ask it here or in the hardware section but...can you play ESPgaluda II on a 3button jamma cabinet? if so please read on.
i'm potentially looking at this cabinet, sorry can't direct link to the pictures. anyway the cabinet is supposedly in reasonable shape, recently replaced monitor with a 20" hantarex, the coinmachine is broken and joystick & sound are supposedly okayish. don't know what region the cab is from and if that matters in regards to powersupplies (for ESPgaluda II and other newer Cave games).
i don't have any experiences with cabinets and/or pcbs but i really want to play ESPgaluda II so any and all advise is welcome!
You probably could but I guess there's no guarantee that the buttons will be mapped correctly. It's a 4-button game, but technically you can do just fine with 3, although rapid-fire comes in very handy for Tateha. On the bright side, you can select your layout (which swaps rapid fire and guard barrier) so it would most likely work on a 3-button cab. That's pure speculation though.

Hello, if anyone here has the PCB and is regularly 1CCing the game, would you be so kind as to write down (or simply take pics of) the staff roll? (I would not presume to ask you to credit-feed it -- except perhaps if you've already done it once and don't mind.)
Or, alternatively, if you know of a web page or a forum post that contains this information, I'd appreciate a link.
