The five doujin's I've played appeared roughly in the order I'd rank them (Crimzon Clover, Imperishable Night, BWR+, Subterranean Animism, RefleX), amazingly enough!

Great to see Kamui in third place.. always deserves more attention. Pretty much what taito should've followed up rayforce with instead of raystorm. I should probably play them touhous more.

Yeah, some weirdness with importing it from the spreadsheet - didn't have time to fix it before class.

I'm pretty impressed with the results, myself. Touhou 12 aside (I just cannot get into that game), I think it shows a pretty good spread of the best of what's out there.


By the by, has anyone here gotten Judgment Silversword to work on a wonderswan emulator? EDIT: NVM, I got it going.

Interesting results. I think if we went by sales (from my site alone) the top 10 would be:

1. Crimzon Clover (far and away #1 in sales - I think everyone on this forum owns a copy..?)
2. Valhellio
3. Reflex
4. Ether Vapor Remaster

7. Exceed 3rd

Obviously none of the freeware games are on the list - I'm not sure if my hosting provides a way to track individual file downloads, so titles such as Warning Forever, Blue Wish Resurrection +, and Edens Aegis are missing.

I've played a decent amount on this list and I like it. Maybe one day I'll make a genuine effort at scoring in a doujin game instead of getting the 1cc and moving on.

I'm pretty sure it's Black Package. That's what the Exceed Collection has, and that's the only version I've ever heard anyone mention ever.

Weird, because I bought all the Touhou games I own from you. But yeah, almost every Touhoufag that actually buys the games would've gotten them from other sources so your site isn't a good indication of touhou vs other doujin shmup sales. I assume most of your customer base comes from shmup communities, and last I checked most of them hate Touhou for some reason.

Last I checked the series got 4 places from the top 10 in this one vote so apparently they understand good games after all.
That could also have been deduced by looking at some of the scoreboards that have higher activity than most arcade shmups out there and contain some really high level scores.
