How about a Gunbird 2, or has someone already done that?
A couple of sequels to Shikigami No Shiro would be nice.
Or even a Dodonpachi 2, but please please make sure it's unplayable in MAME.

This also reminds me of the time I wrote to Treasure asking them to make a spiritual sequel to Radiant Silvergun based on a colour polarity mechanic, not sure if they took any notice though...
