That's the first time an Italian localization is done better than the English one. Either that, or there was actually no one translating the game to English.

Unfortunately, after shmups went niche, sparatutto has been used to indicate FPS/TPS. I just call "our" genre "shmup".
Huh, now you got me curious. I suppose "Mata" means (the imperative form of) kill, but I can't imagine the rest. And Google isn't helping me much, except for "arcade" here and there.
