i create this topic because i've seen many posts asking how's the port for particular PAL shump released. hopefully this topic will help and please fill in whenever there's a mistake or leftout

first and foremost, all pre DC PAL shumps do not have 50/60Hz option

and the rest:

gunbird - 50/60 Hz (yes), save (yes), tate (yes), not compatible with VGA box unless using on/off trick

PS2

Strikers 1945 (title?) - 50/60 (no), save (no), tate (yes)
Gunbird: Special Edition - 50/60 (yes), save (no), tate (yes)
Mobile Light Force 2 - 50/60 (no), save (yes), tate (no)

PAL Gigawing does have the 50/60 option, and saves high scores. Interestingly, the PAL, US, and Japanese versions of the game can all share the same save file.

And it's worth noting that the PAL version of the game is the only one out of the three that works with RGB.

"gunbird - 50/60 Hz (yes), save (yes), tate (yes), not compatible with VGA box"

You can play gunbird 2 on a VGA monitor........ If you're willing to use alternative methods. :D

When you say 50/60 Hz do you mean you cant select it yet it's in 60Hz or it'll only run in 50Hz?

50/60 means you have the choice of 50 or 60 hertz. If it says no and it's a PAL game assume that it only does 50 hertz! ;)

Could've sworn it was titled Gunbird: Special Edition. But it is very much a collection. Great list.

Well, there are quite a few PAL shmups for PSX, but of course, none of those have 60hz. Some are lacking tate and high-score saving, in case you're interested in expanding the list.

Gunbird 2 wasn't designed to be displayed in high rez - you'll get tons of extra slowdown if you force it to run in VGA.

Steel Dragon EX = Shienryu Double, which is on the list, though Steel Dragon EX is the correct title for the PAL release.

50 hz is the pal standard signal and it runs some degree slower than the ntsc 60 hz signal. basically pal games traditionally either run slower, have big ass borders on top and bottom, or both.

it sucks balls.

anyone have any news on on the sengoku pack reportedly being released?
